Sonic has gone down hill. It was a great place to stop by when they first opened in NJ. They are known for their 1/2 price deals however their food is NEVER fresh anymore. I used to buy the chicken club toaster and it always was served hot and fresh. I’ve been to this location quite a few times with no customer service issues. Today I decided to stop by even knowing what I know simply because I wanted to use car side and replicate this sandwhich. It was only around 6:30pm and I was told that they were only taking orders at the drive thru. Well then I guess I’ll be going to a different business because if I wanted drive thru, I would have chosen that. The drinks, hotdogs, and shakes are the ONLY items that are ok. The employees here, it depends on who you get…sadly they can hang outside but can’t walk and hand a bag.

Hubby and I went thru the driveway, hubby ordered, then I ordered and employee, after I finished said is that it? We said yes, got to window and paid. When we paid we noticed it seemed too cheap, we asked if they got all orders, they said no,and told us to re-do the driveway, the food they did gave us, was not good taste unfortunately.

GO FOR THE DRINKS, AVOID THE FOOD, unless you want to be ripped off for really gross food.
I recently ordered a large Popcorn Chicken and a large Fries w/ Diced Onions. The Chicken was completely overcooked, dry, and cold. The container was missing a decent amount of chicken. The fries were old, soggy, and cold. The cherry on top is that they could not even get the sauces right that were requested.

Old Review:
Go for the drinks. They are 1/2 price right now. The food is subpar for fast food. I was not expecting a lot, but this did not meet expectations. There are better fast food options really close buy that also have good deals and make better tasting and hot food.
Pros:
1. The mobile app is convenient to use.
2. Not a long for food when you get there and check in.
3. The service was friendly.
4. The drinks are cheap right now since they are 1/2 price.
5. The 2 for $5.00 deal is okay for burgers and some other items.
Cons:
1. Food was lukewarm, at best, when I arrived, which was about 12 minutes after I ordered.
2. The staff does not read the tickets closely. I asked for mayo, the Sonic Special sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper, and hot sauce. I received 4 packets of ketchup that were stuck together w/ syrup and 1 Special Sauce for 6 burgers, 1 large french fries, and 1 large french fries with cheese. That was disappointing since I ordered to go and needed those condiments.
3. The burgers were really dry.
4. The fries were not great since they were not warm.
5. Cannot modify the items on the 2 for $5.00 deal.

Food is tasteless. This place really fell off. Then I ask the lady with the orange braids if my condiments are in the bad. She says yea but when I get home. Nothing. I threw my food in the garbage. Thanks for nothing. And I tipped on the app. Here’s my receipt

My first ever visit to a Sonic was here and the style of order is unique. For those of you who don’t know, you can sit in your car, roll the window down, order while parked, and have food come to you and you can eat in your car right there! It was an incredibly fun experience as I never had to step a foot out of my vehicle. The service was very fast and professional and I got my food extremely quickly. The food is just slightly better than your standard fast food and the experience is what makes the trip here worth it. I will definitely be coming back as soon as I can. Thank

It use to be awesome when they 1st opened up but now guess I over did it because I ordered a Coney island Hot Dog but when I got home. The bun was molded when I opened the wrapper. This was 10 years ago but I’m still scarred from it. I mainly get the drinks, fries, or desserts. Here’s a update my son ordered the Coney island Chilli Dog not so bad from the pick.
