We were quickly greeted and shown to our table. Our food, my wifes Smothered chicken and mt Patty melt were delicious. The patty melt had a Huge burger, I’m guessing 1/2 pound. Lunches came with rolls and soup or salad. This is a nice size restaurant in a relatively out of the way, peaceful country setting. I only made it 4 stars as they were out of olives so I couldn’t get an olive burger. The table service was great.

I was really looking forward to this avocado toast, but it ended up being pretty disappointing. The presentation was messy, the toppings didn’t look fresh, and the bread was soggy. For the price, I expected something a lot more appetizing.
The service also felt a bit “bleh.” I didn’t feel very welcomed, almost like I wasn’t as important because I wasn’t a regular. I’m not trying to be harsh ,just sharing my honest experience.

The place is Great! I love that I can get hot turkey 7 days a week anytime of the day that they are open. And Tuesdays got broccoli cheddar soup. The food always comes out delicious and quick with no issues. It’s one of my regular places I enjoy.

The Pancake House is fantastic — generous servings and everything freshly made. Our potatoes were deliciously plentiful (we couldn’t eat it all), and the food overall was wonderful. The servers were warm, friendly, and attentive; even on a busy weekend our food arrived quickly. We celebrated as a family and never felt rushed — the staff were welcoming and happy to let us stay and chat. Highly recommend!

Not understanding the 5 star reviews. Must be fake. Got sat at a dirty table. Flies everywhere. Was not offered a water. Coffee was harsh but not too bad, wasn’t offered any more though. The worst part was the awful Spanish music coming from the kitchen and hearing the complaining/arguing in Spanish and English while waiting for our food. Gave me major anxiety while waiting. Also we had just sat down and got our menus and we were asked immediately if we were ready to order. We just sat down! Sheesh! My food was surprisingly good but bf said his food had generic gravy and it did indeed look like fake gravy. Weird fake color. Also was asked to leave a tip and that is just gross. This place needs to work on their customer service and be more mindful of their noise level while working. Speaking in English would be great too since most of the customers are English speaking and it is rude to speak in Spanish when you know darn well people don’t understand you. It’s uncomfortable and aggressive. Do better!

This is a place we stop at least every couple months on our way home from church. The food is good, service is very good and they’re super fast. We could walk in and there’s a line out the door and within less than 5 min they have a table ready. The staff works very well together and seems to have things running smoothly. Food comes out at the same time even with bigger parties. It’s always warm and pretty consistent, I’ve never had anything I didn’t like when eating here. I definitely recommend eating at Somonauk pancake house!

I had to drop my car off at the body shop in Sandwich and after a Yelp search, Somonauk Pancake House appeared on my radar. The current owners have been here for two and a half years, but this place has been a restaurant for many many many moons. They offer very affordable specials all day long. I really enjoyed their veggie omelette, as it was nice and fluffy and flavorful. There was only one server this Monday morning and Deb was working her butt off. I’m kind of thinking when I pick my car up I just may stop in for dinner. They have three large dining areas and are good for a party or large group. They don’t have a website but they often put their daily specials on their Facebook page.

Ordered the supreme nachos to go. i haven’t had them in ages. Asked for shredded cheese. Didn’t get any. Maybe a teaspoon of cheese sauce Sour Cream to go was gross. Quality has definitely gone down hill.
