This is a truly lovely shop! It was an unexpected surprise. The atmosphere of the whole shop is fantastic. They have all the ingredients you need for baking. They also have many handmade food items, such as sausages, jams, cheeses, and cookies. It’s absolutely wonderful. They even have soaps and essential oils. It’s definitely worth a visit!

What a lovely surprise to find in Gosport! We enjoyed milkshakes after shopping for bacon cheese, bacon jam, (I love bacon) and other items we can only find in an Amish store. We’d like to come back for sandwiches in their fresh deli for a lunch soon! The fresh chicken salad looks divine and we hear fantastic.

We purchased our food at the Hendricks County Winter market. Bought 2 kinds of cookies and they were great! If we get up that way we’ll definitely stop in.

Stopped at the Shell station for some gas. Seen a lady selling cookies and pies. If you see this lady open let me tell you this is some good sweetness. I will be stopping back in soon !

We shop here regularly; buying bulk foods, fresh cookies, cheese (the morel is fantastic, but seasonal I think) from the deli counter, and/or ice cream. No matter the day, the ladies are busy baking something that smells wonderful. I stop in at least once a month and almost never leave empty-handed. We live just outside of town, but it is worth the drive if I were an hour away.

It smells wonderful! I can’t say enough good things about this bakery! They have a deli, packaged goods, canned jellies, jams and butters. Candy, drinks, meals, cookies, so many spices and more… Get there early if you want your choice of bread! It is absolutely worth the drive and their prices are very reasonable. The ladies that work here are very friendly and more than happy to help you find just the right food that you may be looking for. If you like cheese, try the butter cheese from the deli and grab a loaf of their freshly made bread and make yourself a wonderful grilled cheese sandwich! You can sit inside in their little coffee shop area now.

Tried to visit last Wednesday morning at 8:00am. Waited about 15 minutes, called the phone a few times. No one showed so we left disappointed.

Fresh dried herbs, products without preservatives, fresh baked goods, including my favorite which I have never seen anywhere else (black walnut chocolate chip cookies) Sommherrs Bakery is worth a check out. They are closed on Mondays. Also worthy on note the ladies who run the bakery are lovely, friendly people.
