We visited Something’s Fishy last week to celebrate a family friend’s birthday.

If you’re a seafood lover, Something’s Fishy is the kind of place that instantly feels right. From the moment you step in, the ambience sets the mood. The interiors have a beautiful seafood-inspired theme, artistically done without being over the top. Subtle marine elements, thoughtful décor, and warm lighting make the space feel relaxed and inviting. It’s comfortable enough for a family dinner yet stylish enough for a special outing.

We tried quite a variety of dishes, and honestly, the experience from start to finish was satisfying.

Harra Channa ka Shorba (Chicken Soup): A comforting, mildly spiced chicken soup with fresh herb flavours. Light yet flavourful, it had a soothing warmth and well-balanced seasoning, perfect to begin the meal.

Chicken Gassi: Rich, coastal-style chicken curry with aromatic spices and creamy coconut base. The gravy was flavourful without being overpowering, and the chicken pieces were tender and well-cooked.

Appams: Soft, fluffy appams with delicate crisp edges. Light texture and subtle sweetness paired beautifully with the gassi gravies, soaking up flavours perfectly without becoming soggy.

Prawn Gassi: Fresh prawns cooked in traditional coastal gravy with coconut and spices. The prawns were juicy and tender, absorbing the rich masala while retaining their natural sweetness.

Butter Garlic Prawn: Perfectly sautéed prawns tossed in butter and garlic. Simple yet delicious, with a lovely aroma and balanced seasoning that allowed the freshness of the seafood to shine.

Surmai Fry: Crispy on the outside, moist and flaky inside. The fish was fresh, well-marinated, and fried just right, delivering bold coastal flavours without excessive oiliness.

Rawas Tandoori: Well-marinated rawas grilled to perfection in the tandoor. Smoky, juicy, and packed with spices, yet the fish remained soft and flavourful inside.

Squid Crispy Fried Rings: Lightly battered squid rings fried till crisp. Crunchy outside, tender inside, with balanced seasoning that made them addictive without feeling too heavy.

What stood out throughout the meal was the freshness of the seafood. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, not rushed. Portions were generous, and the flavours felt authentic rather than overly commercialised.

Service was smooth and friendly. The staff were attentive, happy to recommend dishes, and ensured everything was served at the right pace. They didn’t hover unnecessarily, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Overall, Something’s Fishy delivers exactly what you expect from a seafood speciality restaurant — fresh ingredients, authentic coastal flavours, and a warm, pleasant ambience. It’s definitely a place I’d revisit whenever seafood cravings strike. Highly recommended for anyone who truly enjoys well-prepared seafood.

Been to this iconic seafood place yesterday for lunch and we have to say that it was one of a kind experience. Cited on the second floor of legendary Tunga Hotel, Andheri. Something’s fishy is indeed a seafood paradise!
The ambience here is extremely sophisticated and has elegant corners to it. Perfect for family dinners or even a date.

The food and drinks spread over here is absolutely fabulous! I’m drinks we tried wine (one red and one white) – served perfectly chilled at the right temperature. The wine went really well with the seafood offerings they have on the menu. For the food, in appetisers we tried Lobster chilli garlic which was wok tossed lobster in spicy chilli garlic sauce which were cooked to perfection retaining their juicy texture. The lobster was huge and the portion size was quite generous too. Next up we had butter garlic prawns which was by far one of the best butter garlic prawns we had tried. Absolutely no nonsense recipe and perfect way of making them wherein there was fine chopped onions and garlic sautéed in butter and later prawns tossed in that goodness. We also tried few chicken appetisers like the chicken Alisha kebab which was stuffed chicken kebab having minced chicken and cheese filling in it. The best part of this was that it was cooked perfectly with that dominant Smokey flavour of tandoor which made it even better! Upon our servers recommendation we tried peppery hunan chicken which was mildly spiced and the portion size was humongous! This would easily suffice 3-4 average eaters. It’s a must try if you are here. Lastly, for the mains we had Crab Gassi which was a classic coastal goodness simmered in coconut masala bursting with gold and rich flavours and when paired with neer dosa and appam it was pure heaven. The size of the crab served was big and the crab meat inside it was something out of this world! Loved every single bite of this.
To call it a day, in desserts we tried Rasmalai tres leches which is their signature dessert having layered vanilla cake soaked in rich milk and Rasmalai topped with whipped cream. Absolutely melt in mouth texture and lovely taste! We also tried banoffee tart which was really good. I’m not a fan of banoffee in general however this was nice as the flavour from the banana was not overpowering at all. It was quite subtle and it was delectable.

Hospitality at Something’s fishy is one big reason we would want to come here again and again. Such warm hospitality is super rare these days and here they have nailed it. Captain Bhaskar and steward Ram ensured that we have the best dining experience and recommended some incredible dishes to try as well.

Had an amazing experience at Something’s Clawy – the seafood festival at Something Fishy, Tunga International!
The festival runs from 20th November to 7th December, and it truly delivers on premium flavours and great hospitality.

We tried several dishes and every one of them stood out:
• Surmai Slice Tawa Fry – perfectly crispy and super fresh.
• Crispy Shell Stuffed – crunchy outside, creamy inside. Absolutely delicious.
• Crab Gassi with Neer Dosa – rich coastal gravy paired with soft neer dosa… the best combo of the night.
• Lobster Chilly Garlic with Appam, Lobster Cilantro Kalwan, Lobster Lemon Sabayon – each one packed with flavour and cooked perfectly.
• Dessert: Hot Om-Ali with Malai Kulfi – warm, comforting, and the ideal sweet ending.

Loved the service, ambience, and the fact that every order comes with a complimentary glass of wine.

Overall, a fantastic seafood experience. Highly recommended — especially if you enjoy crabs, lobsters, and unique coastal dishes!

I recently visited Something’s Fishy in Andheri during their Crab Festival, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. The place attracts people from everywhere for its seafood, and now I know exactly why. I started my meal with their Crab Salad, which was incredibly fresh and full of flavour. The Crab Sweet Chilly Basil soup that followed was hot, comforting, and instantly soothing. Then came the highlight a huge crab that completely blew my taste buds away. Every crab or lobster dish also comes with a complimentary glass of Sula wine, which was a great addition to the meal. I tried both the red and white wines, and they were strong, smooth, and paired beautifully with the seafood.

The Lobster and Crab Hot Pot was rich, warm, and surprisingly addictive. The Lobster Lemon Sabayon was creamy and perfectly balanced. Their Chettinad Crab with Bhakri Tacos was unique, especially with the coconut oil aroma and the crab filling layered on top of the pita-style bread. The Lobster Alleppey Curry was outstanding and had an authentic South Indian flavour that went perfectly with the appam. I also tried their regular appam and neer dosa, both soft and freshly made. The wine by the glass was another nice touch to the overall dining experience.

To finish the meal, I ordered their Triple Chocolate Biscuette, which was absolutely delicious. I also tried their special Baklava, which was rich, sweet, and extremely satisfying. The portion sizes were generous, and the service was quick and attentive. The staff was friendly and helped guide me through their seafood recommendations. Overall, Something’s Fishy is an excellent spot for anyone who loves seafood. The Crab Festival makes it even more worth the visit, and I’m definitely coming back soon.

Had an amazing seafood experience at Something Fishy in Andheri East! This place truly lives up to its reputation for serving excellent coastal cuisine.

We ordered a variety of dishes and each one was a winner:

Pomfret Koliwada – Perfectly crispy on the outside with tender, flaky fish inside. The spices were well-balanced and the masala coating was absolutely delicious.

Curry Leaf Prawn – The prawns were fresh and succulent, and the curry leaf flavor came through beautifully. A must-try for seafood lovers!

Surmai Malwani Masala – This was outstanding! The surmai was cooked to perfection and the Malwani gravy was rich, spicy, and packed with authentic coastal flavors.

Goan Green Chicken Curry- Even though we were focused on seafood, we couldn’t resist trying this. The green masala was aromatic and the chicken was tender. Great choice for those who want something different.

Filter Kapi Ice Cream – What a unique way to end the meal! The coffee flavor was intense and authentic, a perfect dessert after all that spicy food.

Special mention to Mr. Siddharth from the staff who provided excellent service throughout our meal. His recommendations were spot-on and he made sure we had a wonderful dining experience.

The portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. If you’re a seafood enthusiast or want to experience authentic coastal flavors in Mumbai, Something Fishy is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!.
