My husband went to Chester’s to get chicken and livers. Was there at 7:40pm. Was told they “do not have any livers” and “already shifted the flour for the night.” So they would not make more. He turned around and left. When he told me I called to find out what time they closed. The guy told me 10:00pm! OMG! He says they don’t prepare after 7:00PM! WOW, PEOPLE, THAT MEANS IF YOU GET FOOD THERE LATER, ESPECIALLY NEAR 10:OO, IT WILL HAVE BEEN COOKED UP TO 3 HOURS – OR MORE, IF IT WAS IN THE WINDOW AT 7:00! CAN YOU SAY !

The chicken livers were incredibly flavorful. I value the convenience and cost-effectiveness of the meal, the inside of the store was very clean.

Pretty good food! Came here for gas on the way to Myrtle Beach and stopped here on the way back from Myrtle Beach, back home to Tennessee. It’s placed in the same building with Love’s truck stop and McDonald’s. I ordered the 4pc tender meal, with potato wedges and a biscuit and BBQ for my choice of dipping sauce (sorry that some is missing in the picture, I was hungry). Clean restaurant, amazing service, also a pet playing and walking area outside for the dogs (gated area designated for dogs). If you’re coming off of the interstate, it’s going to be hard to spot the truck stop, it’s behind the trees. In the Winter time it should be easy to spot when the leaves are gone. So as you make your turn off of the interstate, if you are going I-26 Westbound, turn right and make the first left and the truck stop will be there and if you are getting off of the interstate, I -26 Eastbound, turn left and then turn left again after the Westbound entrance ramp.

Lady with dreadlocks needs to learn how to speak to customers. We ordered a large mix of livers and gizzards, after 15 minutes of waiting I went back to the counter to ask about my order. The nice grey haired lady said she was getting them ready but she said large box of livers so I corrected her. She again repeated my order wrong so for the second time I corrected her. The lady with dreadlocks snapped at me saying “you told us twice, go sit down until we call you back here” when they did call me back up I opened the box to confirm my order was correct and she got another attitude saying I was being stupid. She really needs to learn customer service if she’s going to work in the service industry.

The only reason I give a 2 on the food is because the tater wedges were changed… for the last year I have gotten atleast 2 large wedges per week. I last had them last week. Today they were completely different taste. Similar but definitely not worth me buying again unless changed back.

Ordered 2 pieces of dark off the 5.00 side of menu. The guy rings it up and it comes to 7.07. I said “it says 5.00 on the menu” It was explained to me that if I ordered off the 5.00 dollar side I would have gotten a biscuit also. I asked them to explain why I paid more for less. The lady at the fryer said I didn’t order that and the I ordered something else. Then wanted to argue with me when I asked to make it make sense. I paid more money for less food? Y’all need to get your menu right and train your employees to listen instead of instantly arguing. Never again chester! 2 pieces of dark chicken is still just 2 pieces of dark chicken. Maybe someone in management can explain it.

That grandmama can cook some chicken! I guess it’s all about the timing. Who is there and how fresh the batch is. I was very pleased with both the food and the service.
