Hello Everyone!! I wanted to take the time to tell you a little bit about ourselves!! We are a small mom and pop restaurant!! Our staff work very hard to bring you the best food possible!! Tho we are short staffed and are currently looking for cooks as passionate about food as we are. We strive everyday to bring you a family friendly environment with options for every member of your crew!! From homemade desserts to fresh cracked eggs for breakfast!! We hand bread our fish, chicken fried steak, chicken fried chicken and many more homemade options!! Our menu had endless options even if it’s not on the menu!! If we have it we will make it for you!! That’s the beauty of local small businesses!!

Found this place on accident. A very happy accident (Bob Ross voice). It has a Quirky atmosphere. Amazing food! The chicken fried steak is world class! Hand breaded with REAL homemade gravy! Amanda is an awesome cook and super friendly.

Different = delicious. Y’all. Stop here. Food is some of the best I’ve had anywhere in a LONG time, & I get around.
The menu may be unassuming at first, but someone in that kitchen is having fun to all of our benefit & their name is very appropriate.
I had the hot Johnny & it blew my mind. Their griddler is a magician. 10/10 would make the three hour trip just to eat here again.
Sorry the picture is kinda meh; we couldn’t help but eat everything before I thought to take it. It was that good.

Cool little diner. Burgers looked good. Salads were huge. I had the crawfish and shrimp etoufee special. Served over crispy cornbread dressing with fried Okra. Hamburger had a great seared with a sesame bun

Great atmosphere! Everything was delicious, especially the armadillo burger and fried pickles. The service was pleasant. Very close to the highway but not right on it. It seemed like there was a good mix of locals and travelers. It is not an in and out kind of place. Save some time to enjoy!

Something Different is a great small town diner where the staff were really friendly and the food was excellent. I can’t go back there soon enough!! The breakfast options sound fantastic. I got the fish sandwich with fries and a German chocolate cake. The baker makes fresh desserts twice a week. If I lived closer, I’d eat here all the time and would get super fat. Thanks Something Different for a great dinner!!

Always super friendly and welcoming! Food is always hot and fresh. The deserts are fabulous and homemade. Fried catfish and burgers are great choices. Chicken salad sandwich was the special the last time though and was a very nice change of pace. Great little diner!

Stopped in while passing through. The place was inviting and comfortable inside. It appeared to only be 2 workers at the time, one was the cook and the other was the host. The host was warm and welcoming and the food was good and pretty big portioned. I’d recommend this for a quick bite and would return if nearby.
