We ordered catering for a small gathering.

The owner selected the menu based on the number of guests and budget, and I agreed to it. All of the food was delicious. We had chicken wings (spicy and soy garlic), Korean fried chicken gangjeong, gimbap, tteokbokki, fish cake broth, and so-tteok-so-tteok and salad.

The owner also generously included extra food to make sure there was enough for everyone.

Bulgogi burger was worth every penny! Nice staff and excellent experience.

We arrived a half hour before opening, by accident. They let us wait inside for the kitchen staff to arrive and got us served quickly.

Always good food. The Seafood Pancake and Jap Chae are my favorites and they do an excellent job on both. We ate “family style” with a number of items (fried chicken, bulgogi, soups, etc) and everything was cooked to perfection.

Their food is really good but they are really cheap with their meat. When you pay this much, you expect more than what’s being served.

Today, I ordered some food from Somak for a small meeting. The chicken stayed very crunchy, well-seasoned, and the inside of the chicken was very soft. The vegetarian option, the udon salad, was perfectly seasoned, with crunchy leaves to support the texture. The foods came with amazing plating. Therefore, there was no need to move the foods into another plate to serve the guests. In conclusion, this experience with Somak was very satisfying, as all the guests enjoyed the food.

The food was very delicious and plentiful. We needed food to share, so ordered catering from Somac since we love their food!

If you like Korean food, I would like you to try japchae, jeon, stir-fried squid, Korean style chicken.

I highly recommend their catering service.

Our favorite Korean Fusion and Ramen spot! I’m a vegetarian and my go to order is the kimchi pancake and Creamy Veg Ramen! My husband has tried every other meat based ramen here and loves ever single one! This is a family owned place and the service is always amazing, everyone is kind and we love love going here!

Update: their chicken used to be good but not anymore… they charge $1 per to go box without telling you… that’s pretty messed up… probably not go back here anymore.

I had two visits to this place so far. The chicken was very similar to Bonchon Chicken. They were good. The Bulgogi was good too. However, seul lung tang soup was not good at all. I don’t even know why they put that in the menu. There was no noodle, I only saw two pieces of meat, and soup was so blend. I wish they have more side dishes too. Not sure if this place is a bar, a traditional Korean restaurant or Korean style chicken restaurant. I would go back for maybe chicken but not for other dishes.

Vegetarians and Korean cuisine don’t often mix well. But Somac has it covered. With tofu alternatives to most dishes and a clear respect for Western vs Asian definitions of what vegetarianism means, you will feel right at home. Even our picky eaters enjoyed their meal. Those who were wary of the spiciness were pleasantly surprised as well. And the kimchi? Don’t get me started!

Korean food of good traditional quality, very good flavor and balance and highly recommend the rice balls, tray the traditional style pork belly with rice, lettuce and sauces, the cold soup is something different that you should not miss out experiencing. Affordable prices. It is definitely to visit more than one.
