Our favorite coffee company at IU Bloomington! Great coffee. My favorite is the triple macchiato! The space, however, is kind of dumpy. I appreciate eclectic, but this place could use a clean up and better organization. A fresh styling? And the food wrapped in plastic on wire shelving isn’t very appealing nor sanitary seeming.

Soma is a decent coffee shop with a fun vibe in this downtown location. We love to stop in here for coffee when we are downtown. The cold brew is a bit more bitter than I usually like, but the fun rotating whipped cream usually makes up for it and their consistency in making drinks to order. Sometimes it is cinnamon flavoured which is the best. Their pistachio latte is a favourite as well.

There are a few parking spots on the side of the building for patrons, which is useful when you are just stopping in- otherwise it is paid parking.

It is kid-friendly and has a neat fish tank in a TV which is a hit for kids.

We’ve had a few of their baked goods which are fairly priced and not overly sweet. This location is very small, but that’s what makes it quite unique.

I only stopped in to this cute restaurant/coffee shop for a double espresso but I was very impressed by the service and unique decor. Very friendly! I’ll definitely be back to try out some food!

Five stars is for coffee. I did not get any food. This was my first time at this location. I’ve had coffee at a different Soma before and the coffee is excellent at both locations. I like this one for the unique decor. The interior is decorated very cool giving off the small coffee shop vibe. Stop in for a good cup of coffee!

This is my favorite location of all the somas just due to being downtown in a small, unique space. Always friendly service, great outcomes, and close to downtown shops.

A fun spot on campus with excellent coffee and perfect friendly service. Got a double cortado and they absolutely nailed it. I barely had time to admire the fish tank with how fast my order was ready.

Overpriced, poorly maintained, and disappointing.
The place looked unclean, and the longer we stayed, the more hygiene concerns became apparent. On top of that, they didn’t even know how to properly foam milk. $4 for a babycino in a café that can’t meet basic cleanliness or quality standards is hard to justify.

Fantastic gem of Bloomington. Friendly, interesting, creative, easy. Great cup of coffee too.

I ordered dark chocolate with a double shot and it was the best coffee I’ve had in Indiana

I’ve had coffee at many different places, but I must say that the coffee at Soma Coffeehouse was the very best I have ever had!!! Not only was the atmosphere funky and fun, but the baristas were extremely talented and knowledgeable about coffee.

I appreciate a coffee house that gets creative with its menu, and Soma has a great list of specialty drinks to compliment the standard coffee options. Bonus: Lots of their coffees are fair trade and juices are all organic. It looks like customers are welcome to get cozy and hang out, but the interior is very dark. So if that’s not your thing, there’s plenty of outdoor seating with cafe tables and picnic benches.
