THE BEST BAKERY IN NEW ENGLAND!! We’ve traveled New England a bit these last few years looking for a place to stay longer term. We stayed in Bath last fall and fell in love with the town mostly due to this bakery and the owners.

They have amazing staples like their sourdoughs and Cornetti (Italian version of Croissant) of all types. Each day they have tons of new items as well. The coffee is also great, the cold brew is my personal favorite. When we were there they also started doing handmade pasta to take home and fresh Neapolitan pizza.

Literally everything is just so. Freaking. Great!

The owners are from Italy and truly care about the ingredients and the consistency of the product. They are continuing to do more and it’s always so high quality.

Can’t recommend this place enough. Worth a trip itself to go! Definitely if you are doing a trip through the mid coast this has to be a stop.

Delicious pastries and great coffee! Lots of pastries to choose from and I can recommend the almond crostini and the blueberry scone. The outside seating is lovely in the sun ☕

10/10 – The Best Italian Desserts You’ll Ever Have!

I cannot rave enough about Solo Pane e Pasticceria in Bath, ME! They provided the dessert spread for my wedding, and I still haven’t stopped hearing from guests about how incredible everything was. Not only were the pastries absolutely stunning to look at, but they were—without exaggeration—the tastiest desserts I’ve ever had in my life.

We went with a spread of handheld Italian pastries, including regular cannolis, pistachio crème-filled cannolis, cestini, and nocciolini. Every single item was a hit. The cannolis were perfectly crisp and creamy, the pistachio filling was heavenly, and the cestini and nocciolini had people going back for seconds (and thirds!).

The staff at Solo Pane made the entire process seamless. They were so helpful in guiding me toward the best dessert options for our style and crowd size, and they even coordinated directly with our venue to ensure everything arrived on time and in perfect condition—I didn’t have to lift a finger on the big day.

Their pricing was more than reasonable for the quality and quantity we received, and the value is unmatched. If you are planning a wedding, party, or any event and want something unique, delicious, and beautiful—Solo Pane e Pasticceria is the place to go.

Five stars, all the way. Thank you again to the amazing team—you made our celebration that much sweeter!

Solo Pane in Bath made our wedding day unforgettable with their exceptional baked goods and warm, family-oriented service. From our very first conversation, the entire team—Simone, his father, and his stepmother—were all in communication with us to ensure they delivered exactly what we envisioned. It truly felt like working with family. They cared deeply about every detail, and their dedication was evident in the final results.

Never in our wildest dreams could we have imagined what they provided us with on our wedding day. The fresh, warm bread they baked for our tables received endless compliments from our guests, setting a welcoming tone as they arrived. The finger desserts were equally spectacular, offering a wide range of delicious options that had everyone raving.

Our wedding cake, though, was the true masterpiece. After a cake tasting that felt more like a luxurious event—where we tried and took home three absolutely stunning cakes to share with our family—Simone and his team delivered the perfect cake for us. It was everything we dreamed of and more. After the wedding, all we could think about was diving into the leftover cake the next day, and it did not disappoint!

Solo Pane is as authentic as it gets—transporting you straight to Italy, right here in Maine. We couldn’t be more grateful to Simone and his family for making our wedding day even more special with their passion and artistry.

Great bakery with delicious pastries. Nice interior with limited seating but they do have outdoor seating too. Very busy at breakfast so the coffees can be a little slow as there is normally only one barista. Worth the wait though.

A slice of Italy in the midcoast. Solo Pane e Pasticceria transported us to the European bakeries we often fall in love with during our travels. From the moment we walked inside, we were taken aback by the smell of fresh bread and the dozens of picture-perfect pastries. My partner had a savory snack, and I had a yummy pastry filled with hazelnut butter that was just incredible. We were both impressed by the quality, presentation, and taste. At $5-7 on average for a pastry, they aren’t necessarily the cheapest, but they are worth it. Add a coffee from their dedicated coffee bar, and you’ll get an authentic Italian breakfast for around $10. I also heard they do aperitifs… I so wish I lived closer!

The “worst” thing about Solo Pane is having to decide what you’ll order — everything looked divine.

The most exceptional Italian bakery in Maine. As an avid pastry eatery, I can’t say there is anywhere else that I am more excited to visit when on the coast. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, wonderful food. What more could you ask for?

We’ve visited a half dozen times. The pastries are beautiful visually but always leave us thinking we have chosen the wrong ones as we find the cakes, cookies, bread puddings, etc, consistently too dry. The staff behind the bakery counter promptly appear; unfortunately the vibe is impatient and one feels rushed to make a choice, even when no other customers are in line. We find the cashiers to be courteous. After our second visit we stopped ordering coffee. We found the cortados luke warm;
the almond or oat milks watery, separating from the espresso.. with a few tweaks this could be a wonderful place; however, the cost is too high to justify cracks in products and service..

The smell that greets you when you walk in tells you everything. This is the real deal. Fantastic pastries and bread! Great coffee too. Got the almond crotini, the mortadella sandwich, and a loaf of olive bread. Even though the bread was a day old (discounted at 50%), it was phenomenal! I think everything here is delicious. You can’t go wrong !

The most incredible place! Both the staff and the customers were incredibly friendly and we received multiple suggestions for what to get. The pistachio and the chocolate hazelnut cornettos were so delicious, so was the drip coffee – I will be dreaming of the next time I can come here!
