People who cook know the feeling of trying new food and being disappointed, because of this I tend to stay away from ordering soulfood and just make it myself. However, during lunch break at work I decided to try this spot that came up on Google. I am blown away. The food is amazing! I ordered bbq ribs, Mac n cheese, yams and peach cobbler. The Mac n cheese is delicious, it tastes the way my mom makes it and it’s so good. The bbq ribs are tasty. They aren’t falling off the bone tender but definitely not difficult to eat and the flavor is good. The yams for me were sweeter than I would prefer but I still ate them all cuz they were good. The peach cobbler was great. Not too sweet and more of a dumpcake style cobbler. The wait was a bit long to me but the staff was nice. I like that they offer samples. The food wasn’t perfect but food is subjective and this is well executed. Plus you get a lot of food for the money. I ate from mine twice. My favorite soulfood place now.

Every thing I ordered was delicious. I’ve never heard of Fried Ribs… I’ve had them twice in two weeks. The macaroni and cheese and cheese and cheese is delicious . I’ve had the collard greens and the green beans (drank the juice/ pot liquor) which lets you know that flavor is delicious. The peach cobbler is worth cheating on my diet
They offer samples of the sides and trust me… it’s more than a month full.
The service is to be commended as well as the cleanliness. Everyone has been extremely nice and friendly. Did I mention that the music is R&B and never inappropriate
Tonight I was offered a sample of Candied Wings… yup-they got me.
No disappointments! Give them a try!
Closed on Saturdays and Mondays.
Sole Food is definitely a favorite place of mine. I’ve been there 4 times in two weeks!

One thing I hate is when people use words like the best, amazing, fantastic for places that is regular. This review is not to bash the restaurant but for the reviewers who make it seem like this is the best establishment on earth. The food here is ok, not no amazing. The catfish didnt have any taste of seasoning or spices. The greens had no turkey just plain and needed a little salt for me to eat it. The Mac and Cheese and Rice wasn’t too bad. The fried chicken was ok as well. Yams were not available, so i didnt have a chance to try. I would probably go back to try the ribs. All in all just another plate of food. Doesn’t taste like anything that others had made it seem. Stop over exaggerating the food to bring up the customer count. “Call the cops because they got someone granny in the basement”. Stop it, the food is not that serious. Some of you really need to visit other establishments to know what it’s like to bite into something and say dammmm.

Must try!!! We ordered the fried ribs with fries quick bites, the sweet potato pound cake, the fried whiting fish dinner with Mac and cheese and candied yams. Hands down some of the best soul food I’ve ever had. The staff was so warm and inviting. I wish I ordered 2 orders of the fried ribs they were the things I’ve tasted. Next time I’m in the area, I’m coming back. My son ate the wings so fast never got a chance to get a picture of his food.

Had to repost, Google erased your location: Employees were professional, Food was delicious. Loved the big fried wings, collar greens, and sweet potatoes. Would have given 5 stars but they were out of potato salad right after opening but that could change next visit. Went back a 2nd time they had potato salad and it was good along with the order. 3rd visit,,,,,, NO POTATO SALAD AGAIN. SMH but love the employees and the food.

First…the greens were off the hook smokey and full of flavor…the perfect compliment to the whiting fish plate I enjoyed. The candied yams were a nice contrast in flavor as well to the fish making it a delicious dinner. My wife enjoyed the pork ribs with greens as well. We also took advantage of the single table in this small but welcoming spot. I’d recommend they squeeze in another table and more outside when the weather permits….but we watched the place get packed with Togo orders…the staff made us feel at home and provided friendly and attentive service. Please stop in for some incredible soul (sole) food…

Aside from a fairly long wait (I’d have waited twice as long for how good the food was) it was so so good. Collared Greens and yams were perfect. Mac and cheese really good good. Fried chicken and catfish beautifuly seasoned.

I ordered barbecue beef ribs, candied yams, baked macaroni and cheese, and collard greens from Sole Food BBQ and I’m not exaggerating when I say this meal made me cry. I come from a soul food family and I used to be the one cooking for everybody family, friends, whoever was around. I haven’t really cooked or even eaten real soul food in years. This meal reminded me of my grandparents, my old self, and what “home” feels like. It honestly felt like a hug. The macaroni and cheese was perfect cheese pull, flavor, baked just right, and plated beautifully. The collard greens were seasoned so well I didn’t have to add a single thing. The candied yams were rich, buttery, and sweet in all the right ways. The beef ribs absolutely blew me away: tender, flavorful, and cooked exactly how they should be. I didn’t touch the salt or pepper shakers once. Every item came out with top-tier taste, seasoning, and presentation, and the portions were generous. I’ve been trying to order from this place for about two weeks and finally got the time today. It was worth every bit of the wait. This wasn’t just good food it was comfort, memory, and love on a plate. I will definitely be ordering again.

When you cater there are times you don’t want your own food.. you want someone to cook for you! Well my mom told me about this spot so I went after church and let me tell you!! Sweet baby toddler JESUS‼️‼️ the prices are reasonable!! And the food is BEYOND GOOD‼️ I told her it was my first time there and she was so sweet! You can tell they work hard to make this food delicious! It appears they all work together as a team!! I already placed my order and I didn’t order the Mac n cheese or yams but when I got there and SAW THEM oh I added it to my order! The food is AMAZINGLY FANTASTIC!! Delicious and the portion sizes are perfect!! I got the catfish dinner with collards n rice the catfish CRISPY PERFECTION! Cheese strings pulls from the Mac n cheese lol MONEY SHOT!! I would recommend this establishment to everyone!! It can NEVER be a disappointment‼️ I feel like ima be going back Wednesday‼️ The food is Amazing ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
