Love the food but hours clearly haven’t been updated because everytime I call no matter when it is no one ever answers the phone.

Very small home town diner, took awhile for the food but only had one cook and waitress but very good food. Very good portions and prices.
Also is now open for breakfast 8am

I drove about 380 miles (total round trip) to get this pizza. It had been about 30 years since I last had a pizza from The Galley. In my memory it tasted better back then, but it was still good and worth the drive.

I grew up in Youngsville and always enjoyed The Galley. It’s been at least 10 years since the last time I’ve enjoyed their food so I decided to make the trip down. I checked Google and Facebook, it said they were open and no recent posts to say otherwise. I pulled up to the stop sign out front and there’s a sign that said they closed at 2pm on Saturday.
A simple Facebook post would of saved this bad review.
I also notice that they no longer offer the Tidal Wave sub, would always get it with extra cheese and was my absolute favorite.

The food was delicious, quick service. A great variety of food – Pizza, Subs, Burgers, Ice Cream. Sometime they have a band coming in. Very reasonably priced.

I had a meatball hoagie and it was really tasty. It was recommended to me by the server (who was very nice and helpful). The only size of pizza they have now is 7″. It was decent but not awesome.
The big downer for us was that the place was not clean. The table was sticky as were the forks that were given to us.

Stopped in at 12:30 PM on a Friday, and the restaurant was completely dead. Stood at the counter for probably 5 minutes and didn’t get to speak to any of the workers wandering around the back. Finally, I decided to walk out. Dirty little space with a slimey, backroom, casino feel.
Really wish this place was run by people with some pride like they did 20 years ago.
The Galley was very much a backbone of Youngsville culture and now seems to be barely surviving off that legacy.
I get that businesses go through cycles , but it’s really noticeable when I come to town 1 time a year and have been seeing this decline for probably 7 years or more.
I think it’s time to find a recipe to make my own pizza balls “the Galley way” and charge this restaurant up as a relic of the past.

As much as my wife boasted about this restaurant, I am sorely disappointed. We were the only patrons in, yet it still took almost 30 minutes to receive our food. Food which was poor at best. Everyone knows the taste of canned Hormel Chilli and that is not what you expect to receive in a restaurant. The chicken tenders that we ordered tasted of fried fish, so the oil in the fryer was not recently changed. And I have to mention that the cheese they put on our fries was simply generic sliced cheese that wasn’t even heated up. Very disappointed in the quality.

Being told my newborn was loud by staff while I was in the middle of feeding him to calm him down does not make new customers feel welcomed. Please have you workers to have better patiences.
Will not be returning.
