Solar Brewing is the first brewpub in Oak Island NC featuring craft beer and soda as well as amazing pizza, wings, and whatever creations our talented kitchen staff may produce. We are proud to serve the community since Halloween of 2022. We welcome children and we have a couple highchairs for the very young. We also serve craft sodas so that children as well as adults who do not consume alcohol may still participate in the artistry of a craft brewery. Solar Brewing isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a mission to connect all citizens of the Solar System by way of great food and drink in a welcoming atmosphere. Welcome all!

First time here and they gave me free beer! Pizza was a 10 out of 10 best on the island. Wings were OK. I would rate them as satisfactory.. Maybe they would be better if I had them tossed in the solar sauce… Beers were OK. I expected a little bit more out of a “” brewery…. But at the end of the day, the service was good. Felt like the prices were reasonable. I would definitely come back for pizza.! They also have board games so this is a good place for groups! I was also surprised by her family friendly it was.

This is a really nice brew pub. Great beer menu. Something for everybody on there. The brewer actually came out and spoke to us which is a nice touch. The food was very good as well. We got a cheeseburger pizza and the kitchen sink pizza. Delish! We will definitely come back when we are back in the area. Service was on point too!!

We have been a few times. We tried the fried pickles this time and they were great. My son loves their wings and I tried the Buffalo chicken sub. We ate most of the fried pickles before I took the photo.
Update: We have been back several more times since my original post and I still think they have great service and awesome food. I recommend you try their Solar Sauce on the chicken tenders or fries. Its a really good sauce.

First time visit for our group of 4. We had 3 different beers and really enjoyed them all-free samples were provided if you are unsure what to order. And the brewer was serving so he able to answer any questions. Pretzel chips with beer cheese were very good and the pepperoni pizza was excellent. Very clean bathrooms with paper towels ( not blowers). Handy self service station for silverware, napkins, ice water, pizza boxes etc. was very convenient. Highly recommend a visit…we’ll be back!!

The poutine special was fantastic. The beer is always great. #11 is my favorite. The atmosphere is very friendly. The staff is very kind. Even when slammed, they deliver the best food. Pizza and wings are off the chart good.

Stopped here on a Friday around 4:30pm and had some descent Pizza, Great Fried Pickles, wings were Dry Rub with several Sauces! Pizza Crust could have been charred some or done a little more but great flavor! Quite a few beers on tap homebrews that were made there. IPA a little on the sour side APA not bad. Their lagger had a different taste, but the wheat and the Marsan were really good. Service was top-notch great people behind the counters and we were served pretty quickly.

Great service, beer, and food. Casual atmosphere and quick. Just placed our order at the bar and food was brought to our table. There is a clever and efficient self serve station which has all the things you commonly have to wait for – take out boxes, water, extra napkins, silverware, etc. Great wings with many sauce and dry rub options. Fried ravioli app was good and the chicken parm hoagie was exceptional – especially the roll. I look forward to returning to try some of the other creative menu items.
