New name, but similar feel at the old place. Food seems better, or at least Shrimp Tacos that I usually order. It’s a little more expensive, but worth it. Good value, highly recommend.

Stopped by before lunch ahead of the Redwest Festival. Had to have a Happy Dad to start! Blake, our bartender was great. We had a great conversation about all the fun events going on in SLC this weekend.

Would give 0 Stars if I could!
If you enjoy being yelled at by bartenders and ignored by servers, this might be your place.
We’ve been coming here since it was Guadalahonky’s and always loved the food. The service used to be slow, but at least it was friendly. That’s no longer the case.
Within two minutes of walking in, my spouse and I paused briefly near the bar to decide where to sit. We weren’t blocking anyone, and were already heading to an empty table when the bartender shouted at us at the top of his lungs about sitting near his service area.
We then sat at a table in the bar section for over 10 minutes while our server walked past us multiple times without acknowledging us once—just side-eye and silence.
We eventually left without ordering. The bartender stood nearby running drinks and didn’t attempt to help or ask why we were leaving. Another table mentioned the Tuesday taco special was gone as well.
We ended up at Los Cucos down the street and had great service, margarita specials, and excellent food.
It’s sad to see what was once our go-to spot fall this far. We’ve recommended this place to many people over the years, but after this experience, we won’t be back. Same staff as before, completely different (and terrible) attitude. Customers clearly don’t matter anymore.
I hope management gets things aligned—because you can’t build a legacy treating people this way.

The new furniture and decor was nice. We hoped the food would match. Sadly it did not. Our meals came out literally four minutes after we ordered it. I didn’t think it was enough time to prepare a chimichanga. I was right. The chimichanga was soggy, like a bad burrito. Not crispy at all. The chicken inside of it was more like precooked chicken chunks from a can. Soggy chicken chunks that looked like cat food. Not freshly cooked shredded chicken. Some of the rice was hard enough to hurt my teeth while the rest was mushy. We were all disappointed with our meals. Super disappointing having the food go down hill from what Guadalahonkies served.

It’s nice to have an outdoor bar and patio, but it was the worst margarita I’ve ever had. Tasted like lightly flavored water. The live music from the singer was also way too loud that you couldn’t hold a conversation. I didn’t get food, but my friend said her tacos were soggy and tasted like frozen food that had been reheated multiple times.
Waitress was attentive and friendly.

I am hoping this review will bring change as I realize the place is super new . I would love to have good Mexican food in Draper . The margaritas were lacking flavor and bland . The food was lacking flavor as well , very bland . Let’s get some flavor and spice to Draper ! The atmosphere and service were great but now is the chance to get away from the guadalhonkys lack of flavor and quality . It just takes a little bit more to add some spice of life ! I know you can do it ! I’d be willing to spend more simply for some flavor and spice ! Draper will be growing exponentially very soon with many more coming here that are not the usual Utah bland taste buds .

I was really excited to go here. I still have high hopes, I know it’s just getting settled. They need a manager. The staff was young and immature. The food was only ok. I think they are still looking for a cook. It was a Wednesday night so…?

Just opened Sol Cantina is the place to be! I have been there a couple times already since it opened. They have a good selection of booze and fun drinks as well as some yummy food! The last night I was there they had a woman singing and playing acoustic guitar! She was so good! And it wasn’t too loud so you could still sit and chat with your friends! The staff is awesome! You can sit outside or they have a ton of tables inside. And of course you can watch all the sports! TV’s everywhere! My new favorite place!

My husband and I visited Sol Cantina for the first time last night and really enjoyed our experience. The TVs were set up well for watching the game, and that patio was a great addition. We are big fans of Salsa Leedos and will be back to visit.
