Sol21 in Shakopee makes a great first impression. The space is very cute, clean, and thoughtfully decorated, with a bright, welcoming atmosphere that immediately stands out. The décor feels modern and intentional, making it a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a meal.
For food, we tried a mix of appetizers and entrées. The hot honey cream cheese wontons were a fun starter with a nice balance of sweetness and richness. I ordered the chicken lo mein, which was flavorful and satisfying, while my partner had the sesame chicken and egg rolls, both of which were well prepared and enjoyable. the food was good and met expectations.
While nothing disappointed us, i dont know when I would return. I am a little picky with asian places. But dont let my review stop you from trying it. That said, everything we tried was solid, and the restaurant clearly puts care into both presentation and cleanliness.
Overall, Sol21 is a pleasant, well-kept restaurant with good food, especially if you’re in the area and looking for something approachable in a nice setting.

There was a bit of a wait tonight, but it was Valentine’s Day and we weren’t in a hurry. We were a party of 7. The staff were great. Our food was amazing! My daughter had chicken lo mein and said it was good, but she wasn’t sure if she would order it again. Everyone else loved it! Tofu pad Thai was awesome. Veggie and pork egg rolls were great. It was a nice restaurant!

Both of us ordered a Pad Thai. A veggie with little spice and a beef with no spice. Didn’t taste any in the veggie dish. Both had a heavy amount of sauce that was a little on the sweet side. Would still recommend trying it!

**Edit, went back a couple weeks after my first time and it was just as good! Ordered the green curry, extra spicy. The green curry was a little sweet, but not too sweet. I do not have a sweet tooth and I really enjoyed it. Plenty of vegetables in the dish and flavorful. It wasn’t overly spicy, it was just right. They added dried pepper flakes and cut some Thai chili peppers in there! Boyfriend ordered the pad Thai and the plate was beautiful put together. Noodles weren’t overdone and the dish was delicious all around!

They were made fresh, so prepared for it to take some time to get to your table. You could tell that it was fresh. Crispy and temperature hot! It’s your typical fish sauce dipping sauce, but paired well with the egg roll. Ordered the red curry with tofu. It looks to me like they fried the tofu in tempura? But I liked it because it’s different. Lightly fried, soft in the inside, and crispy on the outside. I got hot for my spice level and it was just right! The flavors were just right. You could drink the soup if you wanted! They did let us know beforehand that rice was not included and was at an additional cost. Didn’t bother us at all. You have two options of rice to choose from, jasmine or sticky rice. I chose jasmine rice. I thought the portion sizes was typical. Not too little or two much. I was able to make two meals out of this. We ordered the pad kee mow as well and it was good. Enjoyed the fresh cut veggies. It was a little bland, but wasn’t over cooked. Excited to come back and try some of the other items here!

We’ve enjoyed delicious food from Soi21 multiple times. From Spring & Egg Rolls, to Thai Fire Wings, to Pad Kapow, and especially their Signature Pad Thai…everything is tasty and presented very well. The Spring Rolls are made in a way that they can stand up on your plate. Thank you always to Mr. Yang and your team. We will continue to come back.

This place is a great addition to the area. The menu has plenty of options to choose from. The food we had was delicious. The Hot Honey Cream Cheese Wontons are addicting. The main courses all have the ability to adjust the level of heat. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food all came out pretty fast from the time we ordered. Overall prices went bad.

First time we ate the food it had better flavor imo. We had the beef Pad See Ew, Hmong Sausage and Golden Egg Rolls. But the second time (menu was different) we tried signature Pad Thai, Coconut Red Curry Dumplings, and Green Curry. The dumplings were average tasting dumplings with Red Curry sausage poured over and then topped with peanuts (not crushed and seemed store bought planters salted peanuts). It honestly didn’t make much sense really. It just felt like they played it safe and everything but turned out mid. We’re going to try it one more time and see if it was the cook. So fingers crossed. Not to mention an employee was on their phone watching videos loudly. It just was unprofessional and I wouldn’t be happy.

Amazing food! Best asian food in Shakopee. Pricing was so fair. Ordered the egg rolls, sticky rice and Pad Thai. It was enough to fill myself and a 21 year old man with left overs. lol! Will be back. I cannot recommend enough. Fresh ingredients.
