Flavoursome, authentic, Italian food full of flavour and generous woth ingredients. Service was excellent and staff ensured we were looked after. Froendly and professional. The view and location isn’t what draws guests to this location, but that shouldn’t stop anyone to try this restaurant!

We unfortunately didn’t have the best experience with our meal. For the price, it didn’t quite meet our expectations. The meat didn’t seem as fresh as we’d hoped, and the flavours felt a little inconsistent. We also ordered the fresh bread, but it came out a bit stale.

A stylish and cozy Italian restaurant, perfect for date nights or group dinners. The dishes are both authentic and creative — the pasta is perfectly cooked with rich, flavorful sauces. However, during our last visit, a few dishes were noticeably over-salted, which slightly affected the overall balance of flavors. Hopefully, this was just a one-off.

Got take away, the pizza was delicious but the bread was very thick and soggy even before the tomato was put on there. Otherwise would probably try dining in just after the yummy pizza.

Great Italian gem we found in the GC, we loved all our meal here including the tiramisu, ligoni pasta and the kids pizza in a shape of a bunny for Easter. Friendly waiters, al dente pastas, and tiramisu craving satisfied, can’t ask for more.

We have try their food since the first shop at Mermaid and we were very impressed with their delicious food and so, we have to try it out with their new store at Burleigh water, no words to fault them in any dishes we had !! the food was delicious and fresh!!! from now on if we come down for our next holiday again Sogno Italian will be one of our family check list to do In GoldCoast and Coolangatta areas.

I’m curious to Burrata these days
I had Panzanella Con Burrata and Linguini Moreton Bay Bug today
I love fresh tomatoes and balsamic dressing
I liked Burrata salad
Just the crispy bread???? was a bit soggy
Pasta was nice too but tasted like parsley a lot
I would love to their pizza one day
I wanted to come here since they have opened here
I’ve been to Mermaid water restaurant before
It’s quite rare menu for the lunch
Simple pastas dishes is the hardest
I had Cacio e pepe today.

I’ve never been to Italy
But there was my favorite flavor on the plate
It’s perfect saltiness, peppery and emulsified sauce
I’m sure it goes nice with the red wine
Service was just ok??? because they nearly finished lunch time???
I felt I was not much welcomed????
I’m really looking forward to next visit

I came here with my friends for dinner, and we had a great experience!! Staffs are kind, atmosphere is nice, food is – absolutely amazing! Especially Amatriciana is my favourite I will come back here again!!

This new shop is quaint with a very European style eating. All the usual Italian dishes on offer with the regular specials make this a great all rounder. We had a great experience. Service and staff awesome. Also has a wood fire pizza.

Tried Sagno Italian for the first time few days ago with a takeaway order, and it did not disappoint! We got a great first-order offer, which was a nice bonus.
We ordered two vegetarian pizzas—one with a white base – Quattro Formaggi and the other with a red base – Ortolana. Both were freshly made, packed with flavour, and had the perfect balance of ingredients. The crust had that ideal crispiness, and the toppings tasted super fresh—exactly what you want from an authentic Italian pizza!
Even as a takeaway, the quality held up really well. Definitely looking forward to trying more from their menu next time! Highly recommend if you’re after great pizza in Burleigh.
