Was craving pupusas and the reviews and pics looked great so i figured I’d check this place out & it was delicious! Enjoyed 4 varying pupusas and a bistecca encebollada. Everything was delish, hot and fresh! Great little local gem. Would def come back again!

The food is good, but remember those early 2000s Victoria’s Secret models? That’s what the portions are sized for, and they told me an extra egg or extra rice would be $5. A reasonable meal here is closer to $30 per person. There’s also that habit shared by a lot of people who frequent this sort of establishment of watching videos without headphones which can quickly turn chaotic, so there’s that too.

She moved through the dining room with an easy brightness, checking in on guests as if hosting a dinner party in her own home. Sapodillas is truly a standout in the DMV and absolutely worth the visit. Try everything but don’t miss the Oxtails and the Dulce De Leche Pancakes.

I love this place!! The pupusas are delicious and such a bargain! I also tried the Carne Asada plate, which was so good and still delicious when heated up the next day.
The only downside is that the food is served on paper plates with very flimsy plastic utensils. It’s fine if you just order pupusas, but cutting the carne asada with a plastic knife was a challenge. I’d definitely recommend taking the order to go if you’re ordering something other than finger food.

Fantastic little shop to grab a quick bite. The service was great and friendly (quick to get you in-and-out fast). Very convenient especially if you want good take-out. If you need to practice your Spanish I recommend you visit because the staff is very nice and easy to talk with.

I like that they have Honduran & El Salvadoran food as I love and prepare that as well. My Pupusa was decent but I’ve honestly had better in Richmond, and they’re chicken was a bit saltier than I like but the flavors ended up blending well together. I’ll give it another try with something different.
