If you find yourself passing through Socorro, you absolutely have to stop by Sofia’s Kitchen & Burrito Tyme. This place is a total hidden gem with a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. The service is top-notch; the staff is incredibly friendly and efficient, even when they’re busy with a lunch rush. It has a cozy, down-to-earth atmosphere that’s perfect for a casual meal. The location on Bullock Ave is very convenient with easy parking. As for the food, the burritos are fantastic—huge portions and truly authentic flavors. It’s excellent value for money, and I can’t recommend it enough!

We stop each time we make our long trek from Tucson to Colorado. The food is consistently great. It’s so fast and we are on our way—- happy, full and on schedule! We get the Huevos and share it— it’s perfect!

A Socorro classic. I love their enchiladas and Frito pie, but they’re definitely most well-known (and well-loved) for their breakfast burritos 🙂

Best customer service ever! The owner came to our table introduced himself and just gave us the family and friends kind of feeling. We pass through here everytime we go to Juarez and always make it a point to stop to pig out. The food here is hmmmmm hmmmmmm GOOD! You can thank me later. 🙂

First time here. It took a bit before someone could take our order. Bummed out the taco salad was on flour and not corn. The chicken fried speak plate was delicious. The burger was so so . Fries were really good.

Came in for breakfast and had the two smothered breakfast burritos with sausage and had green chilies on it and a cup of coffee.
Food was very good. Especially for my first breakfast in Socorro. The plate was HUGE with a ton of food. The burritos had a ton of flavor and this batch of green chilies had some great flavor and not too spicy.
Service was 5 as well.
Atmosphere was a typical Southwestern theme. There is a really nice memorial to Sophia.

Table service old school diner style Mexican restaurant with ample parking. Restaurant and restrooms were fairly clean, they could use a little attention but this was after the breakfast rush so it might not be typical. Service was very pleasant and helpful but a little slow. Food was very good. Portions are huge, two breakfast burritos are almost impossible to finish even though they were excellent. Recommend for a no frills great meal.

Stop in for a bite on a Sunday morning. Place is very local and family oriented. This trip was seat yourself. Once they arrive at table service is quick and easy. The food was great. We tried the huevos, smothered burrito and the New Mexico omelette. Many choices and great place to enjoy breakfast. If you enjoy local spots this is the one in Socorro to enjoy

I stopped here for a quick lunch as I was returning to Arizona. Initially, the plan was to get some fry bread as I saw online. They said they don’t make that , only sopapillo and they were out of that. I looked at the menu and saw they have some lunch special for under $10. Sounded good! I was not sure what the names were and after I asked a few questions, I got Smothered Carne Adovada Buritto Plate. Since I don’t enjoy too much spice, they put nothing on top of the burrito. It came with rice and fried beans. I have to say that all were spicy and the inside of the burrito as well. The taste was nothing special, it was just ok. The order came pretty quick and in 10-15 minutes I was in and out. The place was almost full and especially their drive through. I believe it is a favorite among locals . If you don’t like spicy , maybe look for another place or ask ahead if they can skip that.
