Had a quick bite at the kitchen bar before an NBA game, and was lucky to get a seat. The place was busy so I recommend a reso, and the vibes were lively, good spot for a small group.
Service was super friendly, I wish I’d gotten the young woman’s name so I could credit her, but she was quick with a smile, looked at you instead of her notepad when you ordered, attentive and her cheerfulness was contagious, like family.
Nice wine selection, and the menu offered a good amount of choice while still keeping it small. I had the pesto, wish I had the chance to try the ricotta I saw them preparing in front of me. Cooked perfectly al dente, the sauce was amazing, practically licked my plate.
I was talked into the tiramisu, homemade of course. It was delicious, just a note of warning, don’t inhale when taking a bite or you’ll get chocolate powder in your lungs and a coughing fit.
Would highly recommend and will definitely be back next time I’m in NOLA.

My first dining experience in New Orleans and it did not disappoint. My wife and I are visiting from Milwaukee and this restaurant was high recommended online. Excellent food, beautiful restaurant. Can’t forget to show some love to Myles our server. Great guy who made our experience even more pleasant. Great food, great service….Thank you.

Arriving late into NoLa on a cold Sunday night and my buddy and I wanted to grab a quick dinner but most of the NoLa resturants I had marked were closing at 9pm. Sofia was open til 10pm so we popped in there around 8:30pm. Glad we did, as we were one of the last parties taken as they decided to close a little early.

We split a pizza called The Spicy ($24) which was absolutely great. We almost got the marghareta and I wish we would have since the crust and cheese were perfect it really didn’t even need any toppings. We wanted a protein so split the short rib pasta ($30) which we were a little less than impressed with. Again, the noodles were excellent but the dish just seemed to be a saucy mess overall.

Didn’t love the unexpected 4% kitchen appreciation fee on my check but I will say the service was good and I’d come back here regardless.

Sofia has become one of our favorite spots in New Orleans! Every time we come, the experience is consistently amazing — from the service to the food and atmosphere.

We absolutely love starting with the Insalata Mixta — it’s always fresh, crisp, and flavorful. Their pasta selection is fantastic, and you can tell everything is made with care and quality ingredients. And of course, their artisan-style pizzas are a must. The Margherita is perfectly classic, but our personal favorite is the Picante Pizza — it’s bold, flavorful, and has just the right kick!

The vibe inside is stylish yet comfortable, with great music and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. Whether it’s date night or dinner with friends, Sofia never disappoints. We always leave happy and already planning our next visit.

Highly recommend Sofia to anyone looking for delicious Italian-inspired food right in the heart of New Orleans!

We were craving pasta and went out of our way for this spot. The food was amazing! Service was awesome! I’d give it 10 stars if I could – every element was very tastefully done!

Family-style served entrees. Amazing Italian with an American twist. The Ricotta appetizer with toasted and salted ficcocia bread was delicious. Wife and I split the Manzo (pasta and short ribs) entre and it was the perfect size.

Excellent food, and awesome service. Great job Anna on helping us put together a wonderful selection for dinner. Recommend the meat balls, ricotta focaccia and pappardelle short ribs. Chase those with the flour less chocolate cake, pumpkin doughnut balls and prailine ice cream.

The chill vibe and smell of the wood pizza oven made this a great meal.

This restaurant was absolutely phenomenal. Brian, our server who worked the bar was fantastic and went above and beyond to make sure we liked our food. The Alla Vodka pasta was my favorite and I’d definitely recommend. The place was very packed on a Sunday night; I’d suggest to place a reservation in advance. The staff were very sociable and very friendly. I’d come back to New Orleans just to come eat here!

Pictured is the whipped ricotta which was delicious.

THIS COCKTAIL!!! The Arabesque. I have been searching for a cocktail like this in New Orleans ever since I had a similar cocktail in Miami. Hands down the best cocktail I have ever had. The bar manager, Jeremy is SO wonderful and explained his concept for the cocktail to me which made it that much better. I have a hard time finding drinks that I like, but me and my boyfriend will be back here specifically for this drink! I made everyone with me try it and everyone loved. Sofia is great as always, but I highly recommend stopping by to try out their most recent cocktail menu.
