This Korean restaurant instantly reminded me of my mom’s home-cooked meals! The quality of the food was so fresh and clean, and I loved that it wasn’t heavily salted. I’m so happy I found this amazing spot. I honestly don’t mind driving about 40 minutes just to eat here.

We ordered the Galbitang, a comforting short rib soup with tender galbi ribs, noodles, and a rich, flavorful broth. It was absolutely delicious. But the standout for me was the Seolleongtang a nourishing ox bone soup with noodles, topped with chadol brisket and fresh green onions. It was light and healthy!

The sides and kimchi were also superb so fresh and full of flavor, just like my mom’s cooking. On top of the amazing food, the service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance felt cozy and welcoming, making the whole experience even better.

I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes from this wonderful Korean restaurant!

I was craving seolleoungtang but didn’t wanna drive to LA. Found this spot and it did not disappoint. Food was great, banchan was fresh, and the service was incredible. Ordered the seolleongtang, bibimbop, and kimchi mandu. All very tasty. They also had a whole wall of alcohol and other Korean drinks that I’ll definitely check out next time. Overall great experience and will definitely be coming back.

As a Korean, I love Korean cuisine and visit many restaurants, but this place truly impressed me with its delicious banchan and cleanliness. The service is excellent and everything is timely. Dirty dishes are never left on the table for long — they are cleared away right away. Thank you very much for the high level of service.

Wow!! 1st impression as I walked in, this place feels comfortable. I felt welcome. The waitress was friendly and she was on top of her game. She sat us down and gave us time to look at the menu. She wasn’t pushy and she didn’t hover. When we were ready to order, she knew.

This was my first time here. I came with my daughter. Neither of us were ready for all the side orders that came. If you’re a fan of kimchi, you’ll be very happy. The rice was perfectly cooked.

When our food came, our jaws dropped. The portion size was impressive. It was delicious. I had the fish cutlets and my daughter had the galbi. Yum!! We didn’t finish and we had to get boxes.

I’m a guy in my 50s. I’m a grumpy man. I don’t have patience for bad food or bad service. That wasn’t a problem here. We both left with a smile. Next time, I come I’m having what my daughter had. It was a mountain of beef.

This is our second time visiting, and both times the food and service were amazing. We usually order the Yukgaejang, and this place truly serves one of the best around. The broth is thick, the meat is flavorful, and every bite feels comforting. Their fish pancakes were also delicious and perfectly cooked. Sodam really lives up to its name by offering a satisfying and memorable dining experience. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Korean soups in SCV. It is a must-visit and has become our favorite spot from now on.

Nice little place. Got the suyuk here and it was pretty flavorful. It took a little for the meat to soften but overall there was a lot of meat. Banchan was pretty good as well. Not sure if I’d come back from LA, but if I lived close it’d be a good spot

We ordered naengmyeon and galbi-jjim, and there was a small issue with the galbi-jjim. Since we were already almost finished with the meal, we mentioned it carefully, mainly because we didn’t want the same thing to happen to other guests. Even so, they kindly removed the entire dish from the bill, which we truly appreciated. Aside from that, all of the food was delicious, and their response showed great care and professionalism. Because of the great food and excellent customer service, we will definitely be coming back again.

Amazing food and great service! The Korean is freshly prepared, authentic, and the side dishes were fresh and flavorful. Definitely one of the best Korean spots in town — highly recommend! If Koreans eat there you know it’s legit and there were families eating together when we went.

The staff was very friendly and attentive! We loved the variety of food options, especially that there were some cold dishes (great for this heat wave). Lots of seating. We were served six different side dishes. We ordered the Bibim Nangmyun and the Bibimbap and the Nocdujeon, all three were very good! We will definitely be back soon!

Most delightful new restaurant I’ve been to in a minute. The flavor is absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to return and try other menu items. The soup came in boiling hot and was decadent all the way down
