Tonight was our first trip, and we really enjoyed it. We sat outside with just perfect weather. The service was super friendly and helpful. The food was the star, though, and that’s really the most important thing! We had soup, two different plated meals, and shared a slice of cake for dessert. It was all super flavorful, well presented, and with good portion sizes.

Today’s visit was my first time at Social Sloth, and let’s just say, I wasn’t disappointed. We were greeted with a warm smile and a pleasant hello. We had the chicken kabap wrap, and it was absolutely amazing! We finished off with some baklava and turkish coffee, and it was a perfect way to end the meal. This is such a wonderful place to experience another culture.

The owners are so friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. Good to catch-up with a friend for lunch or grab something quick to go. I had never had Turkish food before here so I don’t know how it compares but it is very delicious either way! I highly recommend the sucuk sandwich and/or the baklava. Looking forward to coming back here and trying more of their menu!

The Mezze Plate of bulgur salad, carrot salad, broccoli and green salad sounds ordinary but was delicious paired with the marinated sautéed chicken. These are flavors that you won’t find elsewhere in the Lansing area. Who knew Turkish food was this delicious?

Oh my Lord!! The sausage and eggs were a Chef’s Kiss!! The eggs were cooked perfectly and the seasoning and bread were absolutely delicious!!! Can we just talk presentation!! Loook at how my Turkish coffee was served to me— LOVE!!! As I crossed the street the owner said hello to me even though she had no clue whether I was a customer or not— I was like wow I know this going to be a great experience and IT WAS! The seating area was nice, warm, and inviting. Definitely a 10 out of 10!

We have dined at the Social Sloth Cafe since they were downtown and have loved, loved, loved everything we have eaten. In addition to our meals, we always get food to go, just so we can try new things. Best meatballs I have had, the pides are delicious and, oh my gosh, the desserts are heavenly. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested in enjoying excellent, authentic Turkish, and just plain delicious, food.
