My husband and I stopped here for our anniversary dinner on a Friday night. We were seated inside (patio was full) after only waiting 5 minutes. The space was welcoming, the chairs were cozy, and it wasn’t too loud. We enjoyed wine and a cranberry bourbon sour along with the chicken marsala sandwich with truffle fries and the looking glass burger with fries.
The staff were very friendly, timely, and attentive. We will definitely be going back, and hopefully, we will get a patio spot. We even had a beautiful view of the moon.

Atmosphere is quiet and dimly lit, nice views of Lake Huron and a surprisingly diverse menu. The Walleye bites were melt in your mouth, but the Maryland Style crab cakes are not Maryland style as in they are not broiled they are fried, good flavor but Maryland style just know what you are ordering. The Parmesan fries are flour fries with very light truffle oil and dashed with grated Parmesan, not very good, could have used more of everything and maybe some parsley…

What a great find! We had the Walleye appetizer, the Lamb Chops, a Caeser Salad and the Ahi Tuna Burger. Oh, and I asked chef to send me a Shrimp Patty on the side just to try it and that to was very good. Dinner was delicious. The Lamb Chops were seasoned and cooked to perfection and the Ahi Tuna Burger was divine. The staff were Johnny on the spot quick and the atmosphere is exactly what we were looking for.

A lot of potential. Still needs a bit of polish. Beautiful view on the deck, right on Tawas Bay. Appetizers were very good. Probably the highlight of the meal. Dinner was good, slightly better than average. Service took a bit, and was explained by the server was because they were busy. 6:00 dinner rush, I get it.
The only thing I don’t understand was the deep fried brussel sprouts.(not recommended) In my 35 years in the industry, I have never had deep fried brussel sprouts. They were hammered. Would have been better sauteed and finished with lemon and butter.
Like I said, a lot of potential for growth.
I’m looking forward to revisit after several weeks to see the improvement.

It is super rare that I give bad reviews. I understand that life happens. Tonight my wife and I drove an hour to come here for our birthday dinner. Hers was last week my is next week. upon arrival we were met with a packed restaurant. however we were the only ones waiting. we decided to have a dinner on the deck. While we were waiting they brought out the papers and we got the first one. The place was filling up. We helped ourselves to the bar while we waited. after we got half way through our drinks, a couple showed up next to us and ordered a drink. we then after a 45 minute wait got another drink. we were having a great time. T he couple that came in 20 minutes after us had their pager go off and were led outside to a deck table. I was a little concerned as we got the first pager of the night. When we asked what happened, we were told by the waitress that the lady in the other party yelled at them and insisted they be seated before us. I asked to speak to a manager and while he was very nice, the best answer he had was we open at 11am tomorrow. Bro, I drove an hour because we had heard good stuff. I am sad that people are so out of touch with being nice that they don’t care about others feelings. As a First Responder, I put everyone before me. I wish the restaurant the best and I sure wish I could have enjoyed a birthday dinner with my wife.

Walking up you start to realize this is a small, very cozy restaurant. Opening the door you’re greeted by friendly faces offering their help in seating you at the end of their full service bar. There’s two seating areas I saw aside from the bar, one inside and one outside on the deck. We decided in eating inside. There are comfortable, actual cushioned seats to sit in, which was nice and lends to the “social” ambiance of the space. The floor was a little uneven so our table was a bit off level. No biggie. My steak was cooked perfectly and was delicious, although a little under seasoned. The sides were Ok, brussel sprouts were soggy and my potato tasted old, and for being loaded it was underwhelming. My dates fish and chips were apparently perfect, she’s not as critical as me haha. The brechetta was very good, though, we loved it. Will definitely be back, there are many things on their menu I can’t wait to try!

The outside of the building is non-descript. It looks like a hole in the wall kinda place. Inside is different. It’s tastefully done with an upscale feel.
Menu options look upscale as well, however; taste comes into play, right?… it is a restaurant.
I ordered the Huron Cakes. I was REALLY looking forward to a meaty fish cake but found them to be a dense mix of too much breading (likely held together by a lot of cornstarch) and little walleye. The sauce on top was a standard, unremarkable, spiced aoili.
My husband ordered the Jerked Chicken Sandwich. It was overly sauced with an enhanced A1 sauce.
We were hoping for a much more tasteful experience than we got but the price point is what we were delivered.
I won’t complain about the bill,but I hope in the future they are able to deliver a much more refined version of what is served.

Cannot wait to go back! Service was great! Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The view is amazing. Perfect spot to eat or just have a drink. Food was great can’t wait to go back and try more.

Nice location where you can sit out on their deck overlooking Lake Huron. Inside seating and bar as well. I do think they need to improve their management, staff and service. Other tables were served their food before us though we were there and ordered a half hour before they arrived. They were out of many items on the menu. I can’t rate the quality of food, since we never received our order, though the prices were very good on the menu. After waiting an hour for our food we discovered through the server that the cook missed our order in their system and we were not even offered any compensation so we left in frustration. They were not even that busy.
