Of the five dining halls at UGA, snelling takes the cake for being the best for light meals and breakfast. With the exception of the Bowl it features both typical cafeteria fair and a large selection of breakfast goods such as bagels, bread, spreads, cereals, and a full yogurt bar. The Bowl is Snelling’s highest accomplishment, featuring a rotating selection of high-quality meat, vegetable, and grain dishes. Special shout-out to the steak flank and balsamic cabbage. It may not be the largest dining hall, but especially with it being open until 2am for late study snacks, don’t sleep on this UGA Dining highlight!

Generally my fav. I come here most often but I am so pathetically sick of cold coffee. Everytime and I mean everytime is the coffee lukewarm. I pour it out, steam comes off, must be hot. Get to my table and sip it, room temp. Make that jazz hot

Togo meals during the pandemic are ok, but this Final Exams week special menu is excellent; looks and tastes great. Breakfast is also great and love the convenience of grab and go breakfast with the breakfast chicken sandwich with fried egg.

We wanted to know what our daughter should expect with the meal plan. The entire experience is buffet style, all you can eat. Breakfast is $9.20, lunch is $$11.45, and dinner is $15.75. Depending on your child’s caloric needs this can either be reasonably priced (for a 240lb football player) or grossly overpriced for someone who eats 1/2 bagel with cream cheese and a glass of milk for breakfast, a small sandwich and chips for lunch and a single plate square meal for dinner. You decide your own needs but this is expensive for the average person’s needs.

The old grandma at entry is rude. When asking for a takeout box she snarks that they’re not longer giving them out today (yeah it was late at night) and laughs at you.

Everyone else is pretty friendly especially the student workers. Very tasty chicken sandwiches – just like a CFA sandwich. Great pizzas and dessert options.

One of the most convenient places to eat on campus. Expect lines during peak hours, usually noon to 3. There is a variety of food and good seating. There is a quiet room for quiet eating. Food quality is consistent. Friendly staff, especially Mrs. Sandra, she is always so excited to see everyone!

Good place to get lunch and late night food on weekdays. They stopped serving breakfast before 10 am everyday now and serve lunch now by that time, which is extremely disappointing. Some of the staff there has a huge and rude attitude towards the students. Disrespectful. I worked in food service in difficult conditions for a year with low pay, so I understand what they go through, but they don’t have to lash it out on the students. I’ve never lashed out at customers when I worked in food service. Unbelievable.

I really like the staff at snelling. My one big complaint is ever since they started doing self serve one lady very rudely tells you to bring your plate closer to the food. This is something we have done since grade school. I am more than happy to do so, once I’m done stirring grits that have solidified. I’m also willing to clean up my mess. Please, just calm down on barking orders at students/alumni. Otherwise this place rocks!

This is the only dining hall that’s open 24 hours a day so I visit it often. It’s fairly small and only a few of the restaurants are open late at night. The atmosphere feels very homey due to the size and layout.

You are better off stacking your own scoops of ice cream. Had a simple order and the ice cream man made my day complete s***. My cone was unstable and the slightest breeze would have knocked over my top scoop. Keeping the scoops balanced was a difficult task but luckily i had enough willpower to get the job done.
