Pho Saigon offers the absolute best pho in the entire Redding area. The broth is unbelievable, and amazingly authentic, every single time. I don’t know officially, but from as many times as my husband and I have come in to eat, or get take out, it seems to be run by a very sweet husband / wife duo. The wife has always been the only front of house caretaker, and also kindly bags up any leftovers customers would like to take home by taking them in the kitchen, as is tradition in these cultures.
I have read many reviewers reporting issue with the service during busy hours. I really wish it was standard for every individual to work in the service industry for 2yrs minimum, so we all would understand the anxiety and pressure that comes along with holding down an entire restaurant on your own.
Long story short, I have always been impressed by Pho Saigon. Simply amazing food!!

My husband and I came in here the other day cause it was my birthday and I really wanted pho. I remembered from a past time that the pho here was really good, and again it was. I have no complaints about the food itself. But when we walked in the woman that worked there (only employee I initially saw) seemed frazzled. We guessed they were short staffed and let it slide. We got really slow, haphazard service but made no complaints still. However im not going to lie that it left a sour taste in my mouth to not even get a normal level of service. However the real issue came at the end. I had a decent amount of pho left over (dealing with some health issues) so I wanted to save it. We asked for a to-go container and that took forever and a day as well. Then instead of giving us the container to fill ourselves she took my bowl in the back. I just assumed they didnt want a customer making a mess. No big deal. Finally got my to-go container (a disposable coffee cup) and we left. Now I still had a decent amount of stuff in my bowl, like I said, even some of the steak and tripe as well as the obvious noodles and broth. When I later opened it up for leftovers, there was no meat. It was just noodles and broth. Call me entitled if you want but I was expecting to get the food I paid for. I wouldn’t have cared if she had left out some noodles or broth to make it fit, but to leave out the not insignificant amount of meat? I feel honestly ripped off, especially when combined with the poor service that day. (And no I don’t care that it happened to be my birthday cause they didnt know.) So I honestly don’t know if id recommend a place that steals and has such poor service, even for good food.

Stopped here for lunch before heading out to camping. We had a group of six people. We walked in here and the restaurant was empty. We all had pho and it was alright. What was disappointing was each one of us got one sheet of thin napkin? Can you imagine eating Pho with just one sheet of napkin? I ordered Vietnamese Ice Coffee with condensed milk. It was very disappointing that all I got was just a package of G7 mixed with hot water. If that is what I want, I could have gotten it myself for less than $1. I paid $5 for this? There is no customer service here. Very sad.

The food is good. Super fresh with deep flavors.
It’s a super chill, relaxed location.

Used to be the OG Serendipity.

Their glass noodles are simply the best.

Pho Saigon delivers in every sense. I ordered the chicken vermicelli, and it was absolutely delicious, fresh ingredients, perfectly grilled chicken, and noodles that soaked up all the goodness.

What made the experience even better was the warm, welcoming service. A very sweet woman guided me through the menu and pointed out a few popular items, making me feel right at home. The food arrived quickly, and the portions were generous without going overboard.

The dining room was clean, simple, and functional, no frills, just a comfortable spot to enjoy a great meal.

Highly recommend if you’re in the area and looking for authentic, tasty Vietnamese cuisine served with genuine hospitality.

I’ve been coming here for over a year, I love their pho soup it’s the best in town ! I’ve got the other spots here in Redding , they all good too but the flavor of their soup is super tasty and delicious! I travel a lot for my work and eat all over but I keep coming to this spot because the food is delicious! I never take time to write reviews because o forget that I can write about places that I eat at , but wanted to take time tonight and share my eating experience and the goodness , my belly is always full here and what I have left o share with the homeless .

While driving from Oregon to California, we were craving Vietnamese food and this place was the only place within 100 miles that offered Banh Mi and Pho! (Exaggerating on the 100 miles) We we’re disappointed they didn’t have any sandwiches due to supply issues but the pho was super tasty! The lady was super nice and kind and chit chatted with us a bit while we were waiting on our food. We highly recommend this place to any one who is considering eating here. Thank you for the yummy lunch! 🙂

March 18, 2022 Thursday at 2 PM. First time coming to this restaurant. Vietnamese woman employee about age 58 was rude in front of me while three other customers was dining in. I think she is the store owner. I ordered four beef noodle, when she got the food ready I paid and checked my to go order to see if there are four beef noodle in the box. She came and asked me if everything is okay. I opened one box and asked her, “Is there Sriracha sauce?” because I couldn’t tell if she put it in the cup or not. She said rudely and angrily, “It’s all mixed in the cup. Why you worried? Everything is fine. I do everything good.” She sounded rude. I paid with my own money and I expect everything to be in it because I don’t want to have to come back because of something missing. The beef noodle is too expensive too. I ordered four #6 medium to go and the total was $52.. I was expecting about $40. Seems it is about $11 each but in the common city it is about $8. So, it is too expensive. I’m a big fan of beef noodle pho, it is my favorite, and I eat it a lot… but this one didn’t taste that good and the soup wasn’t boiled hot enough. Should be respectful to customers. Takes too long to complete order also. Seems she’s the only person working there. Worst Saigon restaurant I ever went to. Would not come again.

Edited: As reviewer Pamela S. stated.. I see I’m not the only one saying employee owner is rude.

I ordered number 44- chicken and shrimps with rice noodles and it was delicious. Only thing was that I had only 2 shrimps and lots of chicken. So I would appreciate if next time would be there more shrimps my husband loves Vietnamese coffee (very sweet and bitter) and here it was less bitter then on other places but still very good
