Found this spot as I was traveling through town. Everything is baked not fried. I had 6 chicken tenders. 3 with the Salted Maple coating and 3 with the Parmesan Garlic. Also, had the Teriyaki sauce and the Parmesan Garlic sauce. Everything was very good. I suggest they do just a honey sauce. Which would be excellent for the Salted Maple. I also tried the Salted Maple Sweet Tater Tots and a Salted Maple Cookie. All was really good. Yummy flavors. Definitely go check them out if you’re in the area. They have nice seating inside and very friendly service.

Just discovered Sneaky Bird in Surprise and… yeah, this one’s officially in our regular rotation.
This is very much a mom-and-pop, Phoenix-local spot, and they commit to their lane: baked chicken, not fried. And it works. Big flavor, zero grease, no food coma afterward.
They offer a great selection of dry rubs and sauces, and you get to pick one of each, which is a fun way to customize your order. We went with one of their featured combos, SMOKY & SASSY: Lemon Pepper rub + “The Q” (Citrus Chipotle BBQ). Sweet, smoky, citrusy, with just the right amount of heat. Balanced and bold without being overpowering.
We ordered the chicken tenders, and they were excellent—juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. My only nitpick: I wouldn’t have been mad at a little more sauce. My wife and I shared the four-piece, and while it was satisfying, we both agreed we probably could’ve ordered a bit more. Rookie mistake. Won’t happen again.
Sides matter, and Sneaky Bird delivers. The tots are a must—crispy, golden, and dangerous in the best way. The side veggies were a nice accoutrement (yes, I meant to use that word), fresh and a great contrast to the chicken.
Now let’s talk dessert. Get the salted maple cookie. Non-negotiable. Warm, rich, perfectly sweet with that salty finish—it’s the kind of cookie you think about later. Absolute must-get.
One caveat: there is some spice here. It’s not wild, but if you don’t like heat at all, keep that in mind. If you do, you’ll find this quite nice.
Yes… I meant to rhyme.
Bottom line: great food, reasonable prices, not greasy, and full of flavor. Sneaky Bird just earned a permanent spot on our “where should we eat again?” list.
We’ll be back. Soon.

5 star for the unique dish! A must try if you’re in town or hungry to try something new. This was a take out order. Price was inexpensive for the experience. I would come back for more of the maple tater tots. I can eat that all day. Great food menu selection too. Coming back to try the other items.

We were in the area, needed to eat, and was in the mood for chicken. Found this sneaky little place surrounded by all sorts of other venues well within walking distance. The down side to all of those venues is parking will be a challenge depending on the time of day.
Food was very delicious. Cutting into the chicken and watching the steam escape made our mouths water. The sauces are exceptional; my teriyaki sauce was some of the best I have ever had, if it’s sold in the stores I need to know what the brand is. The lady who took our order was very helpful and super nice. Restroom was super clean, seating is fair. If we are in the area again, we will be visiting this place for sure.

Not too shabby for the price. The home style chicken tenders were cooked perfectly and were unique with how they are prepared/made to order. All of the tots were nice and crunchy. The kids wings were cooked wonderfully crispy! The naked four piece was disappointing. They were much smaller strips compared to my six piece and they were dry/overcooked. The Mo Bourbon sauce was our favorite. The best thing we had was cookie! Absolutely delicious. We will be back to try other menu items. Very welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff.

This was our first experience with sneakybird and we will definitely be back! Hot, fresh meals that are not fried, making you feel better when you leave! We had an 8-piece wing & veggie (no dry rub) but with the teriyaki dipping sauce and they were, hands down, the best wings I have had in a very long time! Not just carrots & celery for veggies either- there were cucumber & radish slices too! My husband had the (no dry rub) 6-piece tenders w/ ranch and regular tots. You cannot tell from the pictures but they were smoking hot & fresh, great quality white meat, and delicious. Next time we will definitely be trying the maple tots (& sweet potato tots)… and the cookie too! Since it was our first visit we were provided two complimentary fountain drinks (we were not expecting that)! Highly recommend this place.

The chicken here is outstanding. You can get it lightly breaded or you can get it naked. Two of their sauces are actually made in House. There is a variety of dry rubs and sauces to choose from. They’re tater tots are also very good. Service here is exceptional. Jaime was very informative and friendly. I would highly recommend this place.

My first time in, very friendly and helpful employees. Food is made to order, wasn’t very busy when I came in so the wait wasn’t bad. Would have gladly waited 5 more minutes if needed. Very clean, can see into the kitchen. I definitely feel like I got my money’s worth. I’ll be back.

Jaime (pronounced hi-may) greeted us and took our order for our first visit, he also waited on the entire dining room with a happy spirit and wonderful smile. He provided recommendations, helped us understand the rewards program, and continued to be a true 5 star gem of an employee. He alone as a representation of the restaurant was an excellent first impression.
The food was also incredibly tasty! If you dont like any level of spice, be mindful of the rubs and dips, but the flavor and texture was excellent – and for reference, Im a chef and Im very impressed. Thank you Sneakybird!
