Pork chop sandwich was awful. So much thick pancake like breading that had no taste. Hotdogs were not tasty either- chili was terrible. Was really looking forward to eating here. Service was okay, could have came and refilled my drink. Atmosphere was okay but it was very tiny and crammed in. You can get full menu all day.

We were leery but ordered the pork chop sandwich, which is actually pork loin. We had toppings on the side, as I don’t like mustard. I liked it, it is different. Person I was with didn’t like it, said it didn’t have any flavor, he forgot to put mustard in it. I would go back.

I’ve been to snappy lunch twice now and planning on going back December 2025. I know some folks will disagree but I found the pork chop sandwich to be absolutely delicious all the way. It’s literally a meal that will sustain you. Both times I’ve been to visit, the food was delicious and the staff was warm and welcoming. You can’t beat the atmosphere of the place. Being an old guy, I can appreciate this. It reminds me of the drugstore counters. My grandmother and I used to visit when I was a kid.

A true historical restaurant in Mt Airy NC. (Aka Mayberry) The famous pork chop sandwich is delicious. All the servers are extremely friendly and polite! Great place to enjoy some awesome food and relax and take a trip back in time. Oh ya, the prices are like going back in time too!

This place is truly unique as is Mt Airy. What a gem this little Mayberry city is, right out of the Andy Griffith show. The food was unique as well. You have to have the breaded porkchop sandwich all the way !!!! It’s very good and very filling. The ladies behind the counter are wonderful but because this place is pretty busy you don’t get to talk to them much. Mt Airy is a must do as well as Snappys. Breakfast is served until 10:30 and then it switches to lunch until 1:45.

If you want to go back in time to when people were friendly and the food was homemade and delicious then go to snappy lunch. My server was the sweetest thing ever and kept calling me love and sweetie. I had the bacon and eggs with a biscuit. The food was delicious and the biscuit was ginormous. They gave me real butter and jelly instead of the prepackaged stuff. This is a great little experience and a good place to eat.

Unpopular opiniom: the pork chop sandwich isn’t great. It’s large! And the prices are great! But, (I got mine “all the way”) it’s pretty flavorless. Doesn’t come with a plate, the cutlery is plastic (I didn’t ask for it, only saw they had it, along w the condiments that could’ve made my sandwich better, on my way out the door). Service wasn’t terrible, server checked on us for refills & the manager swung by too. But no uniforms or name tags. I’d give it less stars but we stopped for the nostalgia, and it delivered on that. And again, the prices can’t be beat. If you’re there for ‘Mayberry’, its worth the stop. Otherwise, I’d suggest skipping it for a tastier lunch, with more options, on a plate, some where in Mt. Airy.

We are native North Carolinians. Can’t get much more NC than Mayberry. The PC sammich used to be something epic. Today it was cold and rubbery and tasteless. Hope Snappy Lunch can return to its former glory. Raise prices if you need to and make those porckchops fresh and hot! It used to be a legendary sammich. Bought shirts and cups because it’s a historic and nostalgic place to go but darn disappointed at the food quality this trip. Also wasn’t crowded during peak lunch hours. Could have made fresh food to order. Last time the line was out the door and a 45 min wait. If you want people to come through the door put out a quality product.
