Starting out as a simple dream in 1990, Snapperz restaurant first originated on a paper napkin over a nice dinner for owners, Randy and Terry Hanford. A strong passion for cooking mixed with family, friends, and fellowship are what inspired this idea to become reality. It’s one of the best seafood restaurants in the area. Crabcakes are so yummy. My recommendation is to ask for the premium side seafood bisque.. so good!

Took the family here for a nice dinner out and was beyond happy with our choice. The Morehead area has tons of options, but I am so glad we chose Snapperz. Prices were fair, all the dishes we ordered were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Despite how good everything was, the true shining star was the hushpuppies! Being an NC resident, I have had my share of hushpuppies… but these were something special. We could not stop eating them – I highly recommend.

Food was great, the grilled Atlantic Snapper was better than the fish tacos in my opinion. Our server didn’t mention the specials (Shrimp taco bowls & shipwreck drinks) so we missed out on that.

Had a wonderful dinning experience here! We started off with Snapper Sunsets, sooo good! Then with their Wasabi Seared Ahi Tuna appetizer and it was amazing and perfectly cooked! Had their Bahamian Tacos, blackened with mango salsa (also comes with a cilantro lime slaw and bang bang sauce), and it was so delicious!! Loved the flavors! The staff is so nice. Our server, Brett was amazing! Very friendly and helpful! The atmosphere of the restaurant is very laid back and fun. Music is good too! Will definitely be back here anytime we’re in town.

The restaurant decor is very cute and there is a gorgeous live oak tree right by the building. Pricing is probably typical for the area. Service was adequate and food quality seemed consistent. Although the food was absolutely fine, it wasn’t awesome enough to bring us back, with the sole exception of the clam chowder. It actually was the best clam chowder we have had in this area. It’s a New England cream base versus the Core Sound broth base chowder. The only other noteworthy details were the portion size of the Fried Green Bean appetizer, which was disappointing and the slaw is on the tart side, and not for those who like sweet slaw. My husband and I visited Snapperz in Morehead City & tried the 4 course New Years dinner. Everything was amazing! From the food, hospitality, customer service, and environment. I opted go to with the steak and wow!!! Everything on the 4 course dinner was scrumptious and prepared with care, passion, and & detail. Chef Paul is a very talented individual and truly cares for to deliver the best meal for all his customers. Chef Paul stopped by to check in on our meals and ensure everything was prepare to our liking. Our server David was wonderful and other staff also stopped by to check in on us. Although the power went out – staff quickly brought out candles. It made our experience even more phenomenal! Couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience. If you are in Morehead City make sure to stop by Snapperz and enjoy some of Chef’s Paul hand crafted meals!

We visited today for the first time based on Google reviews. We stopped between lunch and dinner before catching the amazing crystal coast sunset. David was our server and provided outstanding service! We started with the seafood dip appetizer that was crab, shrimp, artichokes, and cream cheese, and Parmesan cheese with homemade pita chips. It was yummy and it was huge portion. For our main courses, my sister and I ordered the crab & shrimp pots with coleslaw and my husband had the tuna with a baked potato and coleslaw. We also ordered the homemade hush puppies that were absolutely delicious! The portions were huge! The seafood was so fresh and absolutely delicious. The tuna steaks were cooked a perfect medium. We were very satisfied with the taste, temperature, and quality and enjoyed every bite. We were too full to eat dessert but took it to go! The key lime pie was fantastic! You can definitely tell it is made locally. The blueberry cobbler cheesecake was delicious too! Our server David was great with answering our questions and making suggestions! We can’t wait to come back to visit and eat here! Keep up the great dining experience!!!

From the moment that we walked in the door, the African-American male name, LC greeted us with a wonderful smile and the upmost professional behavior. We were then seated by our waiter named, Robert. Robert was exceptionally amazing, informative, polite, and had the best personality in the world. Robert was not only our waiter, but he was also our bartender, and made an amazing drink. Lastly, we had a gentleman by the name of Tyler, who came and checked on us after the meal was done He wanted to know how our service was. This place has a fantastic management system and great customer service. Oh, and did I mention the food is absolutely amazing? I look forward to coming back here to visit them when we’re back in town. This place deserves 20 stars.
