Bobs Favorite is my favorite. Try it with gnocchi. The tiramisu martini is an excellent after dinner drink. Great food. Excellent service. Wish I had such a great Italian restaurant where I lived. Definitely check it out.

This family-owned Italian restaurant has been around a long time, and the homey comfort food represents it well. It’s located in a small strip mall in Lakewood, Colorado, but seems to have plenty of room, which filled up quickly during the dinner service. Plenty of free off-street parking in the mall lot, which was a great convenience.

Upon arrival, were waited a bit to be greeted, as the front desk was visiting some seated customers, but once greeted was shown to our reserved table even though our party was 100% complete. Service overall was quick in the beginning, but once the restaurant filled up, our server seemed to disappear for long periods and refills were a bit of a wait. Thankfully, the bus staff were all very attentive.

Complimentary bread and oil/balsamic were on the table to start and once ordered the dishes were served hot and presented nicely. All were a nice representation of Italian flavors, Chicken Parmesan, Grilled chicken two ways, and an order of the daily special, all the entrees came with a simple side salad or daily soup. The standout was the light white sauce that was with the grilled chicken entrees, light and rich for the pasta and a great consistency to use the bread to soak up the excess. The portions were good too, with many of taking leftovers home.

Overall, the timing of the service was a bit slow, but the food was very good, and it would be worth a return visit.

Tips for your visit: To avoid a possible wait, try arriving a bit earlier for dinnertime, and for a quieter atmosphere, the add-on room has a nice space between tables.

Turns out I’ve known the owner for over 38 years. We met when we were waitresses a couple different places we worked in downtown Denver. Every time I come to town I have to try to catch her, most times I don’t, but I still go and eat the food. The place has many pictures of her family history and her as a baby in Italy. Her restaurant has grown beyond comprehension. It’s good, beautiful and always reliable food. We had the sausage pepper, onion sandwich, and Bob’s favorite.
I WOULD RECOMMEND

Fantastic! Have been here a couple times now and the dishes are excellent. I have ordered the special each time. The first was for lunch, a Chile ravioli with fresh sausage and tomato in a cream sauce. Excellent. The second was dinner for one at the bar. Spinach and tomato in a gorgonzola sauce over chicken and rigatoni. Also excellent. This is a wonderful place with great atmosphere, service and of course the food!

I’ve been coming to Cafe Jordano since 1992, now 1100 miles away in MS and a visit still feels like catching up with an old friend. My first dish was Pollo Con Broccoli, then Bobs Favorite, and I’ve logged over 250 visits ordering only those –the recipe hasn’t changed a bit. Tonight’s meal was the best meal I’ve had all year. Elisa, the owner, is a sweetheart, and this place always feels warm and welcoming.

Thank you, Cafe Jordano!

I would like to start off by saying the food was great. That being said, I wish the call while ordering was a little more in depth. I think explaining what we should expect for the dishes would be great, so we can ask if alternatives are available. If I can present an example, the Chicken Alfredo, is it grilled or breaded. We received grilled, but I prefer breaded. The dinner salad options….We received dressing options, not toppings. I’m just glad I didn’t get those nasty purple Kalamata olives. We elected to support small business for our 20yr wedding anniversary, and hoped to have received everything we ordered. However, I was never afforded the opportunity to check, as the bags were stapled closed. We didn’t get the Caprése salad we ordered. I understand it was probably a busy night, but everyone, should receive the sane service, curbside or dine-in. I still think I’d choose this establishment over a chain like Olive Garden, I just hope the next experience is %

We really enjoyed our first visit here. We sat at the bar since there were a couple open seats and we didn’t need to wait for a table.

The service was on point. They have a pretty good beer and wine selection, so you should be able to get what you like. They also have cocktails, if that is your calling.

We sampled a couple different entrees and enjoyed both. One note, if you order off of the protein sections of the menu (chicken, fish, buffalo) the side is spaghetti with marinara sauce. This was a bit odd for us since our entrees had different sauces.

The food was all excellent thought. We also enjoyed the dessert selection.
