Amazing service, great atmosphere and just the most ridiculously delicious food, especially the pastries. And I just found out that they are in my neck of the woods as well. AMAZING.

I decided to try out SnapDragon Bakery while I was visiting Vashon—it did not disappoint. I ordered a decaf Americano, and this HUGE slice of chocolate cake, all for $12. In my opinion, that’s a pretty good deal. The coffee was phenomenal and so was the cake. The cake slice is big enough for two people, unless you don’t feel like sharing, like me…
I went on a Saturday afternoon and it was very busy. If you decide to go on the weekend, be prepared for a lot of foot traffic, waiting in line, and people in your personal space. It was a bit much, but not overwhelming, and the people of Vashon are super respectful.
The staff is very friendly and helpful; I think they help ground the atmosphere. Overall, I would highly recommend this place.

We were searching for a morning coffee and nibble and Snapdragon sold me on its charm and many recommendations. The building is just impossibly cute- there are so many seats and I love the rustic mismatched collections of furniture and vintage decorations. Don’t skip peeking in the back too, as they have lots of outdoor covered and uncovered seating set in a lush green backdrop, with even a playful mini log-cabin spot that both kids and adults would love.
They made a good cortado and I loved their egg croissiant sandwich with salsa and side salad. The raspberry oat brick was tough as a brick though, and we all put in plenty of arm grease to cut through it with metal utensils. The eggplant sheet pizza was nice but I would have loved more eggplant to shine. Sometimes the line can be a bit disorganized but folks are well meaning and friendly. Definitely worth a visit! 🙂

We had heard good reviews and decided to visit. This place is huge, with at least 3 different areas to relax and have your meal. There is a fireplace in the corner of one of the rooms. They had a huge collections of sandwiches, danishes and cup cakes. We got a cinnamon roll and breakfast sandwich. The sandwich was huge – we got 4 meals out of that. I was little disappointed with both our pastries though – the breakfast sandwich had lots of cheese, marinara like sauce and tasted like a pizza – it was tasty but not what I expected a breakfast sandwich to be. The cinnamon roll was huge too. It tasted decent but nothing extraordinary. The pastries were expensive(18$ and 9.5$) but they were huge in portions. They had a lunch menu as well as a bar which I think is for later part of the day.

We were a little concerned when lunch for four came to $90.00 ($19.50 for each item, plus tax and credit card fee), but the food was excellent and very filling. The restaurant was very busy, but the staff were friendly and kept us informed on our order. Everything was made to order which gave us time to look at their pastries. The restaurant definitely had a cool vibe with its attached seating area and attached bar. We sat outside but were told that dogs were allowed inside. We were definitely glad we stopped in and if on the island, we would likely treat ourselves again by paying a visit.

We dropped by Snapdragon several weeks ago. This place has great relaxed vibes and even better food. One of the owners, Adam was there. We spoke for a moment and I introduced myself. Later he gave us a complimentary cinnamon roll and a post card since it was our first visit. As we were leaving he even remembered my name. Very impressed, thanks again Adam.

Sitting here in the bakery now and wow! The pastries and coffee cake are on another level. The brunch was incredible. You can tell they put a lot of thought and effort into flavor. Everything was delicious and so fresh. If you’re looking for a really great brunch, you must stop here. This will be a stop anytime I am on the island.

We stopped by for brunch while visiting Vashon Island last Sunday and had a great experience. We ordered the pesto sandwich with sun dried tomatoes + Olive tapenade and a coffee cake – both were delicious! The focaccia bread was incredibly fresh, soft, warm, and flavorful – one of the best I’ve had. The coffee cake was also excellent, perfectly balanced and not too sweet.
There was a long wait, but service was fairly quick once we ordered. The café has ample indoor seating and is kid-friendly, though parking is limited outside. Overall, a lovely spot for a relaxing brunch!

The pastries were fantastic, good coffee, super great staff. The decor and ambiance was very cool but everything just seemed dirty and kinda worn down. For instance, the patio furniture was covered in bird poop, landscaping overgrown etc. Sat inside but it again, everything felt kinda dirty, the table was wobbly upholstered furniture looked worn and dirty. Id never live like that at home so it felt weird to pay to be in it. It wasnt horrible but not great.

Some of the best soup I’ve ever had. They brought me the wrong kind by accident and let me take that home as well as served me the right kind.
Cozy, dog-friendly atmosphere with wood stoves and used books and comfy chairs.
