Smugglers Lounge is one of those bars that instantly gives you that small-town feel, and honestly, that’s what makes it awesome. From the moment you walk in, everyone is super friendly and welcoming.
Do yourself a favor and try the burgers—hands down some of the most amazing around—and pair them with a cold beer. The beer-battered onion rings are a must. Great food, great drinks, and even better company.
In the winter, it’s even better—you can ride your snowmobile right there, park across the street, and walk on in. Doesn’t get more convenient or more “up north” than that.
It’s the kind of place where you can meet locals, strike up a conversation, and feel like you’ve been coming there for years, even if it’s your first time.

AMAZING food! If you want a good messy burger, this is your place! Service was great, atmosphere is welcoming and they have cool tables to sit at too. We got the pastrami sandwich and the double smash burger. Both awesomely paired with the coleslaw and potato salad.

Everything about this place is awesome from the Hamm’s displays to the $2 Hamm’s taps. Bloody Mary mix is fantastic as are the burgers and quesadillas. Be sure to grab fresh horseradish too, wicked hot!!

Food was fantastic! We both got the Jalapeño burgers and alphabet fries. Right up there with the best burgers I’ve ever had. Fries too hot to eat right away. Perfect! Great bartenders added a lot of fun personality. Friendly crowd of mixed locals and cabin people. Drinks were strong and well crafted. The location still looks like it has for years, which is also cool. Smugglers is at the top of its game right now.

I recently visited Smugglers at 123 S Railroad St, in Eagle River, WI. I visited here during the Cranberry Festival and had a blast sitting at the bar. The place was packed but the staff had it all covered. I met so many nice people. I ordered their smash burger and it was delicious. I watched boxes of jars of horseradish go out the door all day. I got to have a sample.of it at my own risk and to the amusement of those around me. Good place.

I’ve tried to stop twice this winter to have my GF try the burger, as I enjoyed last Summer. Mid Jan their grill was down, today, a Sunday, Google said they close at 5, stopped at 3:45, door was locked. No cars but could hear people laughing g inside. Guess they don’t want my business
