My kids were excited to use Smoothie King gift cards they received for Christmas, especially because we don’t have one near our home. However, when my daughter ordered and tried to pay with it, the gentleman grumpily told her that they don’t take Smoothie King gift cards (despite being a Smoothie king). That was disappointing!

This is really a review of The Grove stand(?) which is attached to the Smoothie King. I was looking for something veggie and not fried and The Grove had a ton of options that fit the bill. Over the course of 6 hours or so I ended up eating two different pasta dishes and both hit the spot. For airport pricing, I’ve seen far worse ($13 with tax) and I would happily try another veggie pasta dish next time I fly through O’Hare. Tons of protein/energy bar options and other veggie offerings as well. Would be great if they offered chopsticks as a utensil option.
Reading other reviews, I should note that the Smoothie King staff was super peppy and responsive to customer requests as I was standing in line. They gave the customer in front of me multiple options for his vague smoothie request and were friendly and professional throughout.

If you’re looking for a vegan meal, this is the place!! The noodle container dishes in the fridge section saved us.

Complete ripoff. 32oz is $1 more than 20oz. Everyone including me ordered a 32oz. Received 20oz. Island impact smoothie tastes nothing like other stores.

Was delighted to see a smoothie king in the airport since it is a favorite of mine that is not local to me. I did almost miss my flight due to the long wait but the smoothie was worth it. Probably wouldn’t be saying that if I missed the flight, but all is well

Ordered a 32oz apple kiwi kale smoothie — it was decent for not being hungry for a relatively short upcoming flight, but also not the best smoothie I’ve had (I’d rate a similar ingredient-wise smoothie from Jamba Juice as around 4/5). The price also felt a little bit on the higher side, though it is in an airport.
Very much appreciated how they mark the strict vegetarian (vegan/plant-based) options on the menu.

I’d like to recognize Mayank, a wonderful gentleman at Smoothie King in Terminal 1 of ORD. He went above and beyond when one of the ingredients for my drink was out of stock—rather than simply offering an alternative, he took the time to suggest a creative substitute and made sure I liked it before I headed to my gate. In a busy, high-volume environment like an airport, that extra effort truly stood out and made my travels a little smoother. His kindness and attentiveness deserve to be recognized!
