I’d like to take this opportunity to share how pleased I was with this establishment and the kindness and deliciousness they bestowed upon my family and myself. My daughter and son in law were recently married and we hosted a dinner party the night before the wedding for family. We ordered food from this local eatery and it was beyond our expectations. We selected an array of smoked meats and sides as well as dessert. The ordering process was seamless and the taste of the food, impeccable. Especially the brisket! But more so, was the grace and kindness of the owner and staff. I could not have asked for a more professional and lovely experience. Just a little context to help broaden your perspective and deliver insight as to why this matters, my son in law recently lost his mom and his father fell ill the night before the wedding. They also recently discovered they were expecting a new little person during the course of prepping for their wedding. A blessing to be sure but it changed everything with the dress and more. There was significant amounts of scrambling to make all the moving parts fall into place. To say there were moments wherein the bride and groom’s spirits were dashed is an understatement. Not having to worry about additional details becoming catastrophe with food etc was truly a gift. Thank you so very much for making this night a more unique, lovely and cherished experience for all of us.

I haven’t had the opportunity to have these ribs in a couple of years because I live so far away!!! I made sure I went by there today on my way through town and I’m so glad I did ! The owner Mark is a smoke pit MASTER ! Best ribs and pulled pork I’ve ever had hands-down!! My wife had the chicken and loved it she doesn’t eat pork or beef so we got the sampler platter ! Brunswick stew is homemade there !! If you don’t stop and buy barbecue from this place you will be sorry!! Food is amazing and owners are appreciative!!! PS .. get the ribs !!

At only 2 blocks off the Silver Comet Trail and very close to the Cedartown Depot, it’d be a big mistake if you don’t stop here.
I’ve been smoking meats for 35 years and have to say Smoking Grizzly serves the best ribs I’ve ever had. I got the sampler plate of pulled pork, chicken, & ribs; all excellent. I’m not local, but I’ll be going back anytime I’m in the area.
Patio seating or enjoy indoor dining at the Cedar Cigar shop in the same building. Excellent beer selection, full bar, and great people.

It was nice to visit Smoking Grizzly and find another good dining option in Cedartown. I went with my mom and daughter. They enjoyed sandwich plates, while I had the hickory fries–crinkle cut fries loaded with bbq pork, cheese, bacon, jalapenos and a choice of sauce. I sampled 3 of the available sauces and they were all tasty. They have an especially good Alabama white sauce. The only knock on the whole meal–hit me with some good smoky chopped bacon on that fries dish instead of bacon bits. Otherwise, the food came out very fresh and hot, and the portions are very generous…I’m a big fella, and I took some home. The Grizzly is basically take out. There is a nice patio for warmer days, but we were welcomed to eat in the cigar bar next door. This appeals in one way–I love a good beer with my ‘que–next time! The smoke is tough on some folks, though I personally don’t mind and I appreciated the option to eat indoors. I look forward to a warm day when the outdoor patio is available–that will be ideal! The staff was great, kind, fast and checked on us and made sure we enjoyed the meal. Highly recommended!

Came into town to watch my buddy perform his electric fiddle and I tried the Big Easy sandwich with the bulldog spicy sauce. Oh my gosh!!! No one can beat this. It’s so fresh and flavorful. If you are in the area, it’s a must try! You won’t regret it! Definitely add this to your bucket list of BBQ places to try in Georgia.

The food is delicious – let’s get that out of the way first. I had the the SlawBQ sandwich with a side of Brunswick Stew. The pulled pork in the sandwich was perfectly cooked. Mated with the house sauce and then smothered in the house coleslaw, the balance of flavors was intensely satisfying. It was equal parts smoky, hearty, and fresh. It was just what the doctor ordered after a 50+ mile bicycle trek from Alabama! The Brunswick stew did not disappoint either – savory, meaty, and layered with the right choices of herbs.
Equally important was the friendly – dare I say familial – interaction among staff and guests. Southern hospitality is not dead! The owner, the old Grizzly himself checked in to make sure everything was good and sent me on my way with a bag of fresh pecans free of charge!
Grab a brew from the next door Cedar and Smoke cigar bar and chill on the patio. If you’re traveling along the Silver Comet and/or Chief Ladiga trails, definitely a great place to stop in for some refreshment and good company – kept me going during my 70+ mile trip to Atlanta the next day!

We found this place by accident. We’ll definitely be stopping by every time we come to town.
Very friendly staff, and amazing food! All the sides, sauces and even the ranch dressing is all handmade right there on the premises!
Don’t miss out on a great food and atmosphere kinda place.

We had Lemon pepper and BBQ wings and they were so delicious. Alot of flavor and them being smoked instead of fried made it even better. Baked beans were delicious as well. Definitely will be returning.

The food here is amazing. Pulled pork sandwich was to die for. I had the brisket special it was amazing and loaded down. And the banana pudding was really good as well. Highly recommend visiting this place if you’re in Cedartown.

Service excellent, Coke and blue cheese dressing taste great but the wings were so salty you can’t eat them. They leave such a bad taste in your mouth I ate a piece of one and spit it out. Just my opinion. I took the wings home and washed them off and still not much difference.
