While there’s not competition close by, our first experience left us questioning so many things. Parking – strip mall with restricted parking left us parking in far parking lot and walking. How pizza was ready before hamburgers and fries? Getting drink refills took forever. One bathroom? I would have thought a Tuesday evening would have made for fewer people eating out. Place was crowed. Many tables showing issues with waiting a long time for their food. Perhaps one too many called in sick.

This is a fun place to come to have wings and appetizers, pizza, Mexican, a beer, salad, wraps and more. The servings are big, the food delicious. I like the people that work here. They are friendly and helpful. It’s a comfortable, casual, hole in the wall atmosphere. We like to come in the weekend and enjoy a nice meal mid day and hang out to chat.

Hello everyone, currently on special for Thursday’s is BBQ pulled pork nachos and Ribeye Steak dinner with vegetables and an extra side. I ordered this meal and have to say it isn’t the greatest. The ribeye as you can see in the picture is marginal to many other locations in the area. The lack of seasoning and the size of the piece was not worth the 18.99 for the meal. I ordered the ribeye medium and received it medium-well to well. The beans tasted like they were from a can and the rice had no flavor at all. For the vegetables the mushrooms were canned and the green peppers, Those looked and tasted fresh cut. The staff was very nice and the couple cocktails that I did drink were poured well. I am a believer in trying places again and hopefully give a better rating on my next go around.

My husband and I went to the Smoking Grill last night looking for a good pizza and we were very happy with what we found. The pizza was very tasty and fresh, the atmosphere was nice and quiet being a Tuesday but the highlight of the evening was our server, Olinda. She was very attentive, extremely friendly and went out of her way to ensure that my husband’s allergies were observed. Thank you so much for a very pleasant evening.

Corned beef and cabbage soup was the soup specisl today and it was amazing! We asked the host of our B&B to suggest a good place to eat She said the Smoking Grill & Pizzeria – with the recommendation that if they have a soup special to order it. So glad we listened. We also ordered the cod dinner specia and the chicken ranch flatbread. So, so yummy!

Pizza arrived after nearly 2 hours. When I called to question that at the hour and half mark, they pretty much told me; ‘Too bad. We’re busy, that’s why it’s taking so long.’ [Not exact quote, but an accurate paraphrase on their end of the conversation]
It arrived cold and with like no sauce on it for some reason? Smoking Grill’s other food is good. But their pizza and service warrant 1 star. Gonna start ordering Rivers and Corner Grill more often.

First time here and we’re glad we tried it out. The beer nuggets were awesome! Sometimes having pizza, tacos, and burgers makes me nervous because it’s probably hard to be good at everything, however we had the pizza and tried a chorizo taco and we’re pretty impressed. There’s an arcade for the kids and great atmosphere. Will be back to try more food for sure

I was drawn to order an 18″ double crust pepperoni from their fb page which offered 20% off today 2/7/2022. Little did I know that 20% or more of the pizza would be inedible. As you can see from the photo, 2 of the 8 pieces were burnt pretty badly. The 2 pieces (1 on either side) next to those were slightly toast. The remaining 4 slices were just fine/as expected.
I believe this is a one-off and have never had a pizza delivered in this condition before from Smoking Grill & Pizzeria in Genoa, Illinois. Admittedly, my family orders around 10 X a year from here (not a lot, but enough to have a good sample size).
