I was on vacation there in July. My Aunt and I were looking for a good place to have a grouper sandwich. SOB was within walking distance of my beach rental. This place did not disappoint. I had the fried grouper sandwich which was absolutely delicious. Crispy fries and a large piece of grouper. The coleslaw was great as well. My aunt had the mesquite grouper sandwich and she raved about it. Will absolutely be back! Being from Boston I appreciate quality seafood and this was it!!!

Edited review: we just came back this year. We are still in love with this place. Service and food were a total 5 star experience. The sauce they serve with the coconut shrimp… unbelievable. I tried the Buffalo shrimp this time and they were mouth watering. (Pictured) Pair it with a red stripe.

Just what I was looking for…a giant bucket of a variety of shellfish. For a touristy place it wasn’t bad. Funny when waitress asked if I wanted my oysters steamed or raw. I asked if the oysters were fresh or from today and She paused with a deer in headlights look. Told her to steam them to be safe and she said oh so glad u chose that lol wasn’t the best seafood as it was not really seasoned and not really super fresh and a little overcooked but it hit the spot for variety and prices these days. SOB was a very cool experience. Great beach ambiance, live music and awesome crowd that visits the venue. The drinks were fantastic, they had great selections. I was missing the wow moment for their famous crab legs and Clams, they lacked flavor and size.

In town for the weekend, bartender at our hotel suggested we check out SOB for dinner (Smoking Oyster Brewery). Going to have to thank him tomorrow. Great food, drinks & live music! Followed up by fantastic service from Kara. Homemade Key Lime Pie for dessert was the perfect end to a perfect day. If you’re in Fort Myers, you need to stop here. You won’t be disappointed

Best seafood in all FMB, and Haley our server was by far the best ever. We had the snow crab bucket, peel and eat shrimp and started off with the pickles. Everything was amazing, and again the service was amazing!

We had just spent several hours on the beach and were headed back to our car with plans to grab burgers on the way home. Nope. The smells as we got closer caught our attention so we decided to give it a try. Our server tony was the best, offering tidbits of knowledge and suggestions as we decided what to order. My husband had 6 raw oysters and we each had mesquite grilled grouper, mine with Cole slaw and his with onion rings. Everything was excellent and we will definitely be back!

We stumbled in here not knowing what to expect, it was a random selection. Not at all disappointed! The food was amazing and fulfilling. Everything we tried was awesome. The service was super friendly and informative. The atmosphere electric and the ambiance perfect for the evening. I highly recommend this place to satisfy your seafood cravings.
