We had the most perfect experience on Friday! Smokin’ Joe’s was able to help us with a catering order, enough to serve 28 people, and we had the most happy customers! Each option of meat provided was incredible and people loved the macaroni and cheese! I look forward to trying some of thrvother sides in the future but I’ve already heard great things from frequent customers. Not only was the food awesome, the customer service and hospitality was top-notch! I really appreciate being able to offer lunch to my staff and we love when we get to use local establishments. Way to go, we will be back!

Just found the BEST BBQ in the area, that I tried. Tritip was moist, tender, not just burnt tips. The ribs very meaty, tender. Chicken flavorful. Sides: potatoes salad had the right amount of onion and the coleslaw was a delight with tasty bits of pineapple! Oh, and the brownies, yum!
Glad we got there early because there are only two tables inside and it was a grey day, but I know there are lots of outdoor seating for when the weather is good.
A hi-lite was meeting Joe himself and sharing arm wrestling stories! What a great guy!.

Couldn’t decide on dinner between me and a few co-workers, it was down to either Olive Garden or a little place called Smokin Joe’s.
Never have I been happier to pick the non-chain restaurant. I was in Redding on a work trip for 2 weeks and I have eaten here 3 separate times. Everything from the smoked meats, side dishes, and the scratch-made sauces was perfect. So many times I’ve gone to a BBQ restaurant that does a few things right and a few things wrong. Everything here ranged from great to amazing.
On my first visit we met the owner Joe Sells, and we spoke with him for nearly 2 hours. Our conversation started with how he cooks his meats, and ended with a story about near-death experiences.
Mary, Joe’s older sister is one of the most down to earth people you will ever meet. So caring, hilarious, and had so many family stories to share.
If you haven’t eaten here yet and you live in the area, you’re doing yourself a disservice. Can’t wait to come back here when in the region.

Had Smokin Joes for dinner tonight and it literally made my day! My husband and I are big foodies and after a long week this was such a delicious place to get take out from. Their ribs are seriously so good and SO tender. This is our second time here and the customer service was amazing again, the people are very wholesome. I forgot to order ranch and they already threw some in there, I would’ve been disappointed to get home and realize I didn’t order any. 10/10 recommend!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this one deserves a mention. I’ve been here a few times food is decent and service is usually good. But today the girl at the front counter licked her fingers clean and then grabbed a fork and put it in my bag. I didn’t say anything because I had extra utensils in my car and didn’t feel like starting a whole situation. Also, I asked for BBQ sauce on the side, and it was already on my food.

Excellent food and service! My sister and I stopped on our way from Oregon to Sacramento and we were glad we did!
The fries were amazing and our sandwiches were phenomenal!
The customer service was also top-notch!
If we lived closer, we’d be there all the time.

My family and I love this place. My kids can never remember the name. So they call it cow , pig , chicken . Now we call it that too. The ribs are to die for. I’m not even a big fan of pork. But I can’t help but crave some ribs from this place that fall right off the bone and into the best barbecue sauce I’ve ever tasted. Topped off with some onion rings and some texas toast. Boooy, It’s delicious.
