Reviews
The staff is great, very friendly and very helpful, it wasn’t too busy yet so we had time to exchange a few words and they generously gave me informations on the neighborhood.
I hah tacos -of course-, but my very favorite was the mushroom quesadilla, DELICIOUS!
And authentic Valentina spicy sauce, just like home.
While I think the flavors could use a little cilantro and spices to be closer to original Mexican food, I also acknowledge that not everyone can handle the spicy level I’m used too
Gracias mentirosa!
Bendiciones ❤️
And in addition to owner response, we ordered margaritas, alcoholic ofc, and shoots, check in your system before lying. Also since most of the days in march were rainy, outdoor space was closed and indoor- there were only few tables. Although we made reservation prior, we barely found a place to sit. After visiting South America and trying a lot of Latin cuisine and cocktails I think I am eligible to make judgments about quality of food and drinks. These ones unfortunately didn’t pass standards.
To give credit where it is due, the cocktails were decent and the music was the highlight with an amazing playlist. But the food? Just terrible.
It is hard to trust a place claiming “authentic” Mexican cuisine when they can’t even spell “quesadilla” correctly on the menu. The “Al Pastor” was the biggest lie of all. Instead of shaved spit-roasted pork, it was dry, mushy meat that tasted like old, badly reheated chili con carne dolloped onto the plate. To make it worse, the tacos were served on wheat tortillas instead of corn.
The menu promises real flavors, but the kitchen serves up a complete fabrication. Don’t believe the hype.
If you want a good drink and good music, do visit. If you want good food, go somewhere else.
Elote is supposed to be grilled, but the corn was soggy, like corn on the cob boiled much earlier, perhaps not on the same day. And for the price to get one corn on the cob cut in 2 pieces is borderline offensive. At the laiki agora you can buy 4 whole corn on the cobs for €2, and that’s retail. The garnish is just a sprinkling of ingredients, so really, the price tag is not justified.
The cocktails were good, tasty with a wide variety. But the size relative to the price of the cocktails makes you feel kind of like you’re being robbed.
Spice levels are pretty much nonexistent, at least offer a variety of spicy sauces for those looking to add a little more heat to their dish. The cocktails are spicier than the food.
The vibe is good, the music on point, so if you’re looking for somewhere for a quick drink and a small bite then this would be a good option. Otherwise, I would recommend you spend your money elsewhere.
This meal came to 120€ for two people, the price includes 6 cocktails.
