They also have coffee in the morning Potheads Caffee. Coffee is great. Can mix drinks and make your own. Cost and flavors are great hot or cold. Also they have refreshers available.
And that mac salad — let me be clear — is the best I’ve ever had. I’m talking about a side dish that could walk into a room full of mains and steal the show without breaking a sweat. Creamy but not clumsy, seasoned like somebody actually tasted it before serving it, dotted with olives and veggies that don’t feel like afterthoughts. It’s the kind of mac salad you finish before you even touch the brisket, then immediately regret because now you want a whole bowl of it to yourself.
Then there are the chili beans. Deep, brick-red, unapologetically bold. They’ve got that simmered-all-day vibe, where every spoonful feels like it’s been soaking up smoke, spice, and attitude. The kind of beans that could be a meal on their own if you were down to your last five bucks and hungry enough to care.
And the garlic toast? Thick, buttery, golden — the unsung hero on this tray. The thing that sops up the juices, scoops the mac, pushes the beans around, and somehow ties the whole plate together.
Best BBQ in Oxnard!
We had the horchata shake, mac and cheese, tri-tip sandwich, and the pastrami hoagie — and everything was incredible. The flavors were out of this world, the portions were generous, and the quality was top-notch. I was honestly overwhelmed by how good it all was.
The owner even came out to talk with us — super friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what he does. The whole experience was excellent from start to finish. The menu has a little bit of everything, and every single thing we tried was amazing.
Highly recommend! Five stars all the way!
I did the brisket sandwich and cheesy/bacon fries… It was very good
Seriously, really good eats, and great staff, plus lots of choices, huge , very ambitious menu. Now go eat there, the Philly cheese steak is great, but the chili relleno smash burger is life changing.
