The best beef brisket I have ever had! Moist, tender, and fell apart when you tried to cut it. They were really busy but kept a positive attitude with the customers and kept the food coming. Great prices for the beer as well.

Kind of a small sports bar feel, but without all the TV’s, which is nice. There’s at least one or 2, but it’s minimal. Almost always have good luck here. Most the time if there are issues, it’s due to it being busy, and a bit out of their control. Food has always been very good, no matter what we order. I’m a fan of their smoked brisket and would recommend, but again, so far, everything has been good. Their loaded baked potato soup, which is a house regular, is also very good, and I’d recommend as well. They have a jalapeño ketchup to use with the steak fries if you desire. It’s minimal in spice. Sounds scarier than it is, but gives it a little zip. Try a little and see what you think before going big on it.

Jake’s is a classic old school tavern with a smart, attentive wait staff and terrific food. If you want a place that makes you feel like you’ve gone back in time and not like you’re part of some theme concept formula, this is the place. Loved it. It was the perfect vibe for the area.

As we have been trying new places each time we are up here we decided on Smokin Jake’s for lunch. My wife ordered the smoked turkey sandwich with goulash soup, our six year old “Shorty the Foodie” had the same but with fries, and I ordered the rib sampler with cole slaw. My wife and daughter said the turkey was really good, my wife really likes the goulash soup as well. I tried a bite and agreed that the soup was excellent. The ribs were cooked very well and were tender, the BBQ sauce had a tangy but very good flavor and the Cole slaw is homemade. The sauce and bell peppers in the slaw were different but my wife and I agree very well done, in fact we are getting a side of slaw to go. The service was excellent, our waiter did a great job and we were very happy overall. We will definitely eat here again as they have a dinner menu we want to try. Shorty the Foodie gave it five aces.

Wanted to be served. Short staffed was always the excuse. The manager in charge just sat there on her phone not caring to help us as we waited 20 minutes still never had any of their workers help us as they were right in front of us but served the man next to me a refill of his alcohol. Finally got tired of the manager sitting on her phone not willing to help us and let them have it and left. This was my first time in there and probably the last as I never got helped. Don’t recommend coming in here ever as I’ve worked with customer service for several years and don’t let a guest not be helped and sit on your phone. Horrible management. Go the other bars next to this establishment they’re way faster and friendlier.

Great small lake town vibe. We were there for lunch on a Thursday so it wasn’t super busy but our waitress was super attentive and very friendly. Our kids thought she was the best. The bucket of rib morsels were delicious to share and the kids loved the wings both naked and with the sweet chili sauce. Recommend the corn nuggets also! Totally going back when we visit again.

As we walked in the place we felt Like the server didn’t want us there. She was really rude about where to sit and it got worse from there. 2 of our group of 6 got sick shortly after eating there soup. The others food was cold and the service was bizarre to say the least! Avoid this place. Hopefully ownership changes soon.

Our waitress was attentive and nice. The corn nuggets were amazing with their ranch. My husband was not a fan of his pulled pork, dry and lacked the ‘smoked’ flavor. The brisket beef with gravy was good, but also didn’t have that smoked flavor I was hoping for.
