Went to try this new spot, and I’m not sure they hit the mark, but we came round as they were closing up shop so I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt. We got the Brussel sprouts, the loaded fries, and the bronco sandwich. The Mac and cheese with the loaded fries and the original sauce on the bronco were both great. The meats and sprouts were under done for my liking. The hot buffalo sauce was too vinegar forward to be enjoyable

I ordered two bacon double cheeseburgers at $12.99 each (pricey), which boasted crispy bacon, lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles on a brioche bun. Two problems…(1) The bacon wasn’t crispy at all but was instead wilted and chewy…(2) The bottom half of the buns were very soggy, making it hard to hold properly. When I went in for a bite, 3/4 of the ingredients fell through onto my plate. I ultimately wound up having to dissect my burger and eat it out of a bowl, with a spoon! Granted the patties had ok flavor, but the entire burger experience was disappointing. I called the store regarding the mushy mess and the manager at least seemed courteous, informing me that they “take feedback serious” and that “he’d relay it to the kitchen”. In the end I felt that these burgers were a low value, embarrassed that I ordered them, product for the money. I give Smokies 2 stars…tops.

I’ll preface this review in that it was an hour before close and I got a to-go order. I can’t really say much about atmosphere but i refuse to mark it down because of that.
Service was great… It was an hour before close. I hate being that guy, you know? But they treated me like it was an hour after opening, ya know?
Alright, the food. That’s really the star here. My wife and I got cheesesteaks. I got the ribeye and she got the chicken. I got mine with onions, and she got hers plain. We both commented on the same thing and it was that the cheesesteaks weren’t juicy messes. They were AMAZING. Toasted bread. Meat mixed with the cheese to an exquisite degree.
I normally get irrationally mad when my cheesesteaks are soggy messes and this was the exact opposite. It’s like I had a cheesesteak the right way for the first time. Amazing. I’m currently debating on eating my other half as I write this.

Now my second time dining at this place. First go around porky burger, very good, little pricey. Second time went with the BBQ burger, great burger, patties are smashed, which is a nice change of pace from most places.

Got the brisket platter. Brisket was cold and tough. The bark was good. Mac and cheese was cold too. Went to Harry’s the day before and the brisket was tender, juicy, and a lot cheaper.

Best BBQ place I’ve ever eaten at. All the meats are very tender and flavorful from the slow cooking. Homemade sauces are the icing on the cake. Highly recommend.
