Stopped in on the way home from skiing with my 15 yo son and all we can say is, “Wow!”
Brisket was solid (great bark!). The St. Louis style pork ribs stole the show, though. Awesome rub and a light BBQ sauce finish on the meaty, melt-in-your-mouth ribs had us going back for another half rack. Mac and cheese was good and the BBQ beans hit the spot. Beer on tap and a huge $5 milk shake to wash it all down.
Will be back for sure! Good protein for sore legs. 🙂

Made a quick stop and couldn’t be happier. “This might be the best brisket I’ve ever had.” said a person at our table. Sorry, pictures of food are not great because we basically could not resist to start eating before we remembered to take photos for the review. Our new favorite place on Hwy 2!
They also have a store in South Cle Elum at 801 Milwaukee Ave .

We were very happy with our post-hike stop for food and beer. Being a Wednesday at 3pm, there weren’t other customers when we arrived, but a few more stopped by during our stay. The food was excellent…very generous portion of meat on the pulled pork sandwich, and the garlic fries and sauce were delicious. We had the 2 Smokey’s beers on tap, a strawberry blonde and a hazelnut brown, and enjoyed both, though we were a bit dismayed by the usage of plastic cups…Hopefully this is just temporary. Overall, a great spot to stop on your next trip up Highway 2, and we plan to return soon.

I had brisket and two kinds of pork ribs.
The brisket was chopped, which I don’t like. But I didn’t ask when I ordered so it was not their problem.
Both back ribs and spare ribs were very tender. They have smoke rings but not very strong smoky flavor.
Overall, the price was good for the good BBQ. I’d recommend stopping by.

This is my new post ski/hike/outdoor adventure meal spot! I have been 3 times and tried something different each visit; consistently great! Their location in Skykomish makes it perfect because you don’t have to wait to get great food when you are starving after getting outside. I was sad that they ran out of Mac and Cheese the last time I went, but it gave me the opportunity to try the potato salad which I enjoyed. I recommend the St. Louis Ribs and the Hot Links. My friend, who has dietary restrictions, ordered the Cornmeal Catfish and loved his meal.
Now for a bit of constructive criticism, they are a bit pricey but not overly so. Their parking lot needs a little better flow and as of right now they do not brew beer even though they call themselves a brewery. Don’t fear, however, they still have good craft on tap.
I am interested to see how this restaurant grows and finds their stride. As I said above, they plan on brewing beer and they are going to open an espresso stand. I will go back again and again to help support and grow their business, please do the same!

Excellent bbq! Got the 3 meat platter with collard greens, Mac n cheese and beans, being from the south I didn’t expect to find good bbq in WA but this was good, mac n cheese was 11/10 and the baby back ribs were 5 stars!

FINALLY! A delicious place to eat on Highway 2 after a day in the mountains. Some friends and I stopped off for a meal after frolocking in the woods for a Christmas tree. The Big Bear is now open with delicious BBQ and beer. Smokey’s BBQ is now in this beautiful space. They just opened up last week. We ordered at the counter and within 10 minutes our food was at our table. The pulled pork, sweet potatoe fries and Mac and cheese were out of this world delicious. My friends got the BBQ bowl and a sandwich which were scrumptious. James was so great, he even came by from the kitchen to say hi and check in on how our experience was. The staff were wonderful. They will eventually have a brewery and additional seating available along with an outdoor patio. This is my new spot to stop at on the way back from the mountains. We will be back.

We tried the three-meat plate and a few sides. Loved the dry rub, meats were all tender/tasty and hot bbq sauce. Hot bbq sauce is behind the counter (you have to ask for it!). Didn’t love the sides (we tried the mac and cheese, coleslaw and bbq baked beans).
This spot is conveniently located in Skykormish, WA a few minutes from Stevens Pass! Perfect quick stop for happy hour and munchies after an awesome day on the mountain. We will def come back!

I’d have to say this is the best BBQ in all of Washington State. Also only 1 server crushing it and giving service that one could only dream other restaurants could give post pandemic. The chicken and ribs were my favorite! I could write more but I need to get back to eating!

Very good food, the brisket and pulled pork were great but the Mac and cheese really stole the show. 12/10 on the mac and cheese.
