Went middle of the winter, so we will come back in the summer for a better review. I hear they are really busy and maybe the meat is better .
The brisket, and ribs were dry. The pulled pork, pulled chicken and sausage were really good. Corn bread muffins dry. Dinner rolls dry. The different sauces were good. The smokey BBQ sauce mmmmmmmm my favorite.
The tots were awesome. They were done perfectly.
We had the brisket feast and the ultimate feast. LOTS left over but worth the price for sure.

I am always on the lookout for a good bbq spot, so when a friend suggested this place I finally got out there. The service was great and friendly. Talked bbq with the employee, I have 4 smokers and have been doing bbq for 20 plus years. The menu had a good selection, my buddy and I split the Ultimate Platter which is brisket, pulled chicken, pulled pork, ribs, andouille sausage, corn muffins and cowboy baked beans. It smelled great, but unfortunately everything seemed over cooked (especially the ribs, seemed burnt) or something as it was all really really dry, the beans wete the best thing on our plate. I am hoping it was just an off day. The flavor was OK, but was hard to gauce as we had to use a lot of bbq sauce due to the dryness. I will eventually try them again to see if it was a fluke.

I decided to give them another try, but unfortunately, it was a $94 mistake. After a 45-minute round trip, I got home to find that we weren’t given a single drop of BBQ sauce.
The lack of sauce only highlighted how dry the meat was—the brisket and ribs were incredibly dry, and parts of the brisket were actually hard. To make matters worse, there was a mild seasoning sprinkled over everything that my kids didn’t like. Out of four children under the age of six, my two youngest could only eat the fries. For nearly $100, I expected much better quality and basic attention to detail. Very disappointed.
Service and Atmosphere ratings didnt have N/A for online orders. 1 star does not reflect my experience while I went in to pick up my food.

Stopped here with a few friends on our way home from Duluth. Food is super delicious! We got to meet one of the owners, super friendly. Food also came out very fast. Highly recommend coming here if you love bbq.

My husband and I stopped in on a Saturday night around 6PM and right away, the smell of the BBQ, the entire establishment, for that matter, was Wonderful! It reminded me of the smokey waft of Beale Street Memphis! As 1st time customers, we were greeted at our table by JT ~ one of 4 Owners (it’s an “All in the Family” business). He told us about how they started making and selling BBQ and how it eventually grew into the restaurant establishment. Okay ~ the food……I had the Signature Wrap, which is basically Smokey’s platter all wrapped up! My husband had a Frito pie. I told JT I felt like GUY FIERI from the Food Network! You know the show “Diners Drive-ins & Dives”, that’s exactly what this felt like to me! We stopped in on a whim, 1st time patrons, the food ~ seriously, it was like my taste buds exploded when I took bites of the smoked beef brisket, pulled pork, smoked andouille sausage, rib meat, cheddar cheese……dipped in their homemade signature BBQ sauces: smokey, sweet, golden white, spicy, & pig pickin’! To compliment that, I chose a mug of the Northern Soda Company root beer on tap! Delicious! Bottom line ~ it was a great “whim” we landed on!

Amazing onion rings…holy moly they are the size of donuts. Pulled pork was superb, coleslaw very good. Beans felt like a doctored up pork and bean…but good. Beers a bit pricey but plentiful and good.

OK. This one hurts a little. I am a BBQ fanatic. I love trying new places to eat and found this place on an ad on Thursday, then went into work on Friday and convinced 2 colleagues to go for the 33 minute drive to try this place. I am usually comfortable getting ribs at a smoke house as it will tell you how the rub is and how the meat is. The rub had great flavor. There was a nice bark on the meat. Then it goes down hill. The meat was dry. Definitely over cooked. The other 2 at my table had different meats (brisket and pulled pork) both dry. One of my colleagues said something to the staff and he brought out new brisket and comp’ed his food. He took one bite of the new brisket and stated to me it was also dry. I had 2 sides that I thought were great. Baked beans and Cole slaw.
The atmosphere reminded be of an old VFW. Great for the BBQ place. The smell of smoke was very prominent and you could smell the smoke on my cloths even after I got back to work. I loved that, some may not what that strong of a smokey smell.
The waiter was awesome, very good at checking on us throughout the meal and making sure we didn’t need anything. He also took care of my colleague when he complained about his meat.
Side note: I intentionally do not complain about anything I ordered as the food brought to me should be as good as every customer should get.

Really cool joint. Sauces were incredible. Meat was a bit dry for me, but my wife loved it. Great cocktails, awesome old fashioned menu- great for the purists and non purists alike. Definitely will be back.

Want on a Saturday evening, around 5pm. Took some friends here because the ratings looked great. Always looking for great BBQ in Minnesota. Unfortunately it’s not here.
The brisket tastes like pot roast. No bark and no smoke ring was to be found.
The ribs were somewhat dry and flavorless despite having a ton of rub on them, to the point there was still rub dust on top of the ribs, like dry enough to blow off.
The pulled pork had some smoke and a little flavor, but was also dry.
Cole slaw tasted just like cabbage. Nothing else, just cabbage, but they did dust a little rub on top of that.
The Frito pie was decent enough.
It feels like the sauces were meant to do the heavy lifting here. But the sauces weren’t anything to different than what you find on the grocery shelves.
