We visited the restaurant on a Wednesday afternoon, and it wasn’t very busy. The service was excellent, even though we kept changing our minds while ordering. The food came out fairly quickly. We ordered fish cakes as an appetizer, Pad Thai and crispy garlic fried chicken as our main dishes, and Thai tea for drinks. Everything was delicious. The staff were very friendly and thoughtfully packed up our leftover drinks to take home. We would definitely come back if we have the chance.

Great Thai food at Emerald Thai Restaurant. The seafood papaya salad was fresh and flavorful, the stir-fried crab with curry powder was rich and aromatic, and the crispy pork basil was perfectly crispy with great spice. Highly recommended!

Been here many times over the years but came in recently as there is a sign saying under new management. Food was still really good. Decor is dated but well kept. The Thai ice tea is the best! Pad Thai was great and noodles were good and spicy and not dry. Not to spicy. Just like I like it. Shrimp egg and rice presentation was beautiful. I’ll continue to dine here.

We recently celebrated a birthday here. The restaurant is very clean with an ambient atmosphere. They have a very extensive Thai menu with many common Thai dishes along with many Thai dishes I have not seen elsewhere. I was boring and went for the tried and true Phad Thai with shrimp spring rolls. The Phad Thai was some of the best I have had. Lots of chicken and noodles, a large portion of crushed peanuts and bean sprouts. I mixed it all together and savored every bite while cleaning my plate. The shrimp spring rolls were also great. My wife had peppered chicken with vegetables in a light but rich sauce. Every main dish was garnished with a beautiful flower made from a carrot! This restaurant is family run and the service was impeccable. They gave us a complimentary mini choclate lava cake and a sweet sticky rice with a rich sweet sauce. It was garnished with sliced mango. It was an excellent dinner and all the prices were less than you would find anywhere else. This restaurant is highly recommended and I will definitely go back.

Came here for a birthday party and had a great time. I don’t 100% know what we got (the rest of the folks ordered in Thai) but it was all tasty.

The place is really cute too – with a big mural on the wall and a fountain greeting you when you enter. If it wasn’t so cheap you could have a fancy dinner here

Been to this place twice and both times food was top notch! Last time I went in and it was a relatively hot day this place was so hot I was sweating uncomfortably eating my food … please get some fans in or something for the summer. Second time the service was a bit off putting as well.

Ordered TomKha soup for my flu symptoms and it was delicious and healing…My friend went and got some more and we ordered some egg rolls and rice plus other items
Consistent and so so good!
Nice amount of vegetables and variety too
Coconut ice cream was fresh and homemade tasting.

I definitely recommend we are trying the curry next!

Everything was so flavorful and quick! The dishes are authentic and come out in amazing presentation. I cannot stress enough how affordable they are for such high quality dishes. The music was a bit loud though but that could be a one off thing

We moved to the area a few years ago and did a “tour” of every Thai place with in 10 miles after leaving our beloved Seattle Thai restaurants for the suburbs. This is by far the BEST Thai in Kent, Des Moines, or Federal Way. The portions are HUGE. We’ve even expanded our normal order because everything here is so good! We (two of us) order at least 4 options and eat for a few days. The garlic chicken is so good and it’s one of the few suburban Thai places that serve it. The Rama noodles are INCREDIBLE. The folks who own it are just so sweet every time we pick up. I honestly can’t say enough nice things.
