HelloEveryone. Just had this the other day. Had pulled pork and a pulled chicken and Mac and cheese. Not a fan.

The meat was flavorful and tasty. Unfortunately the mac n cheese tasted like it had been out it was so sour, it was one thing we really loved in the past but this just gave us such a bad taste in our mouths I don’t think we’d order from there in a long time. I also got a soft served ice cream cone and it didn’t have really any vanilla flavor taste and tasted like old ice cream. We loved Smokey sliders in the past but the last two times we’ve eaten there the food has went downhill. The lady at the counter was nice.

This place charges 9.75% sales tax. In store and with their online ordering. This is illegal. When they were questioned about it today they said customers have complained before about it but nothing was done. Sales tax in nj is 6.625. This obviously has been going on for a while. The state tax and fraud have been contacted.

A hidden gem in NJ. The food was delicious and definitely worth a stop if you live in the area or if you’re on a road trip and are looking for something good to eat along the way.

Had a great take out dinner for me and my family. Ribs were excellent. The brisket flatbread! And the smoked wings were amazing. I don’t say that lightly. Really good stuff. It’s not a place to sit in. It’s a takeout kind of atmosphere.

Restaurant was VERY clean. Ordered on a touch screen menu, ordered buffalo wings, brisket sliders, and pepperoni pizza hot dog. Got the food fairly quickly. Hot dog did not look like picture, wings were not buffalo but served with Frank’s red hot sauce, the brisket had little sauce and hardly any taste. Disappointed.

Sliders were good but it’s an icee cream shop with a slider business on the side. That’s the way it looks. May not be the way it operates so don’t be surprised when you walk in the restaurant and be confused if you are looking for ice cream or brisket (technically they have both). So food and service is good but just was really confused from an atmosphere experience.

Some of the worst food I have had in a while. I doubt anything is smoked here. Very odd place. It is primarily an ice cream shop with a counter in the back where you can order “smoked” barbecue, but like I said, it doesn’t seem like anything is smoked here. Just chicken and ribs heated up and doused with generic tasteless barbecue sauce. The chicken reminded me of Sams Club rotisserie chicken shredded–but even worse. Save your money and go some place else. I am at a loss as to how anyone can give this place 5 stars. Perhaps they never had barbecue before in their life.

Best BBQ I’ve had in New Jersey.

Many many years ago, I took a trip to the Southern United States. I ended up eating at a BBQ joint so good, it ruined ribs and BBQ in general ever since. Until now.

Finally I have an affordable BBQ restaurant that I could fall back on when I’m craving BBQ. Granted, my pallet may be more limited than others, but it’s absolutely worth checking out.

Just be careful about pulling into the entrance. There’s this oddly placed concrete landing strip that is inset from the street, and I almost crashed into it at night. I couldn’t slam on my brakes or I would’ve been hit by incoming traffic, so I had to serve into the exit portion to avoid an accident.

If the owner reads this, maybe they could speak with the land owner. Some type of improved visibility of the entrance and exit would help prevent such accidents in the future.

Also, (of no fault of your establishment) when driving at night, the strip mall sign limitations make it hard to see where the store is located.

The pulled pork sandwich was incredible. We popped in expecting a quick bite, but we were amazed at how delicious it was. Don’t let the simple appearance and atmosphere fool you, this is wonderful bbq at a wonderful price! The staff were very pleasant and gracious. Will definitely be back soon!!!

My husband and I ordered from Smokey Sliders for the first time yesterday and the whole experience was excellent. We ordered ribs, wings and a few side dishes. The ribs were tender and delicious. The wing sauces were also very tasty. I was a big fan of the corn nuggets. We probably ordered more than we needed but wanted to try various items. The man working the front counter was super nice. I believe he was the owner or a manager. Even the other customers that were waiting for their food were very friendly and raving about the food. We will definitely be ordering again.
