BBQ + sides worth going out of the way for!
I’m picky about brisket (I like it flavorful), and this is for sure some of the best brisket I’ve ever had. So good I couldn’t bring myself to put any sauce on it! Didn’t want to hide any of the awesome flavor.

We had been in the area on a road trip with some friends and decided to give this place a try since one of the folks we were with was craving good BBQ. Food and service was fantastic, dining area is small and perfect for a place like this. Pictured is the rib plate with potato salad and Mac and cheese. Portions were generous for the money. We had 3 other people with us, they got the pork plate and brisket plate but forgot to get photos of those meals. Food was fantastic and service was also amazing. Really felt that ‘southern hospitality’ stopping in here. We took a piece of derby pie with us to go and they was also fantastic. Give this place a try – coming from someone who lives 500 miles north – you won’t be disappointed.

Got 2 pounds of shredded pork $35. Food was ok I personally prefer Roys in Russellville. As soon as I ordered as was asked if I would like to leave a tip. Glad to tip my waitress but not walk up/drive thru. The sauce that was given was the size of a personal dipping sauce and one tasted like Bulls Eye BBQ sauce if you like that. I love supporting small business but just was not impressed.

It’s not Deep South Q, more ‘roasted’ than ‘smoked overnight’. Nothing detrimental there, just FYI.
Sides were all good. Service is as good as it gets. They are proud of their food as any kitchen should be. If ypur passing through take the 3 minutes needed to get here and pass all the same old chains.

Honest review time! Smokey Pig Bar-B-Q has super friendly staff and a nice view out back, which is a plus. The ribs are the highlight—tender and definitely the best thing I tried on the menu. But honestly, the brisket and pork shoulder were both super dry, and the sides are pretty meh—like canned beans and cafeteria mac and cheese. If you’re in the area, grab some ribs, but keep expectations in check. Just keeping it real!

My husband travels the United States for his work and I go with him often. My daughter likes to go on TikTok and find places for us to eat in the town we are in. She sent us 5 and we are bbq connoisseurs. So this was a must. We got there and smoke was rolling out and smelled so good so we were stocked! Ok so we ordered ribs cause that’s our favorite and the guy took them out of a crock pot. We were like hmmmm so they were soaked in bbq sauce and I like dry ribs but I gave them a chance…. Not a taste of smoke what so ever and they had a pressure cooked texture to them. Very disappointing, not bad but disappointing. We stopped in during the week for lunch. There was a decent line waiting to order but it moved pretty quickly. They give you a decent amount of food for the prince. I ordered the ribs with baked beans and mac. The food was okay the ribs were a little salty for my taste but very tender. The only reason for 3 stars on service was you order at the window and take your own food.

Great BBQ for a decent price. They give you large portions and the service is incredibly fast. I got the ribs and they were awesome. My wife got the pulled pork sandwich and it was even better! I would HIGHLY recommend someone in the group gets pulled pork so you can try some. Would definitely recommend this place!
