We host monthly events for 75+ guests, and Lindsey and the catering team are always incredible to work with — from helping us choose the right quantities to making the ordering process smooth and stress-free. Their experience really shows, and it makes planning these events so much easier on our end.
We usually pick up from the Leander Smokey Mo’s, and the in-store staff is just as outstanding. They’re friendly, double-check that everything is correct, and always help load the big orders into the car — which is hugely appreciated.
Great BBQ, reliable catering, and true Texas Southern hospitality. If you’re looking for catering you can trust and food your guests will love, Smokey Mo’s is the way to go.

I understand that sometimes items may be unavailable, but I believe it’s important to be informed and given the option to choose a replacement or request a refund.
This location has done this twice now. Perhaps look elsewhere for pork belly.
Smokey Moe’s BBQ in Leander does everything a barbecue restaurant is supposed to do—and they do it better than anyone else in the area. First and foremost: the brisket is better than their competitors. It’s consistently tender, perfectly smoked, and full of flavor every single time.
And here’s the kicker—they never run out. When you show up during their posted hours, you can actually expect to get what you came for. That alone puts them miles ahead. Add in fair pricing, professional staff, and a level of consistency in both product and service that most BBQ joints only talk about, and it’s not even a comparison anymore.
Every visit feels dialed in. The food is hot, fresh, and clearly made by people who care about what they’re serving. The staff is friendly, efficient, and respectful of your time. No excuses, no disappointment—just solid Texas BBQ done right.
Smokey Moe’s understands something simple but important: when you open your doors, you deliver the experience you promise. And they deliver it every time.
If you want reliable, high-quality barbecue without the frustration, this is the place. Smokey Moe’s has earned my loyalty—and my appetite—again and again.

The service? Top-notch! Friendly, extremely fast, and genuinely welcoming. You feel like they actually appreciate having you there, which makes the whole experience even better.
And the atmosphere? Clean, and full of that down-home BBQ charm. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, the vibe is always warm and inviting.
Smokey Mo’s is the kind of place you’ll keep coming back to, highly recommended!
I crave BBQ constantly and the Smokey Mo’s offers great food, service, and the food is relatively affordable considering how much it costs to eat out these days.
I love their sausage. It’s mouth-wateringly tender, flavorful and it also comes in jalapeño if your palette favors the spicy.
It also pairs quite well with their BBQ sauce which is a nice blend of sweet and smokey.
I really dig their potato salad which is nice and moist. It scoops like ice cream and is tasty like a scoop of ice cream. Potato salad should never be dry.
I’m also rather fond of the macaroni and cheese. My wife says they add a little bit of citric acid to it. It’s how they make it so creamy. It is O so creamy.
PRAISE CHEESUS!
The employees are both courteous and professional. They cut off the blackened portion of my moist brisket at my request to make it easier to chew and digest.
Class act!
They have bread, pickles and onions out on the floor so you can make your own BBQ sandwich. And I suggest you do.
Praise Cheesus!
