Stopped here based on yelp reviews while on a long road trip. We had 7 people and were quickly seated and treated respectfully by the staff and owner. We were given a run down of the menu- fan favorites, specials, how they flavor their meat and all that jazz. Wonderful food, great portions and fantastic flavor. Would definetly come back here when making this trip again!!

Went to lunch with my husband while waiting to purchase a Jeep at Kunes in Sterling which was close. We walked in exactly at 11am when they opened and the doors were unlocked I was so surprised and happy. Walking in we were immediately welcomed and sat at the bar. The bartender walked up smiling, gave us menus and conversed with my husband.
We ordered brisket nachos for an appetizer. I just wanted a chicken Caesar salad and my husband had the meat platter. Since we were there before 4pm the ribs weren’t ready which we completely understand so he asked for extra brisket.
The bartender checked on us often which was great but made me want to order and try more food. Our bill came to $94 which wasn’t bad for us and we had food for later. If we are ever in that area again we will definitely be back.

The food was awesome. I had a Reuben the husband had the Pulled Pork sandwich with a brisket nacho appetizer. We were stuffed walking out. The service was good as well. I will be returning soon.

Great folks. Awesome food. Covid means curbside or takeout but don’t let that stop you. As an itinerant working traveller I was welcomed and made to feel like family after walking in for a takeout. Can’t wait to be back in town when they are fully open. Oh, get the carrots…

You should check this place out when you’re in Sterling. Very nice decor and food was really good. Our waitress Laura was absolutely exceptional!! She was smiling, friendly, attentive, and so nice. The best service we have had anywhere in a long while. Can’t wait to have the bread pudding later!!

My main dish was the pulled pork with mashed potatoes & gravy and sauteed green beans served with Texas toast. Wow! The green beans picked up good smoke flavor, and the mashed potatoes and gravy are the best I’ve had at any restaurant…ever (hot, savory, no skin on the gravy, and great texture).

We started with Garlic Parmesan shrimp and Irish egg rolls (excellent!). I had the Sampler Platter and my wife had the NY Strip steak. Brisket is juicy and tender, pulled pork has a wonderful smokey flavor, and the ribs are to die for! Her steak was cooked perfectly and had a deep, beefy flavor. So sorry they’re closing but happy for John and Michelle.

I wanted so much to give five stars however I few the tempo of the meal started terrible. Although the main dish was outstanding, I was presented a “salad” that was simply lettuce. (To their defense, I was offered croutons but I am on a low carb diet ) if you are going to market a “Salad” it needs to have some basic variations of veggies: lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots, radishes, onion, etc. not just lettuce.(unless we are going for a Caesar Salad of course). When questioned on what makes a salad it was explained that tomatoes are given in season or for catering…. in season??? This is the 21st century… we can’t locate a decent tomato for a salad??? Nonetheless the main course was nice. Ribs had a nice balance of dry rub and wet sauce while the meat itself had a nice smoked flavor. The brisket tonight wasn’t as good as my visit last week but still a well prepared brisket. Just appeared to sit under a heat lamp a little too long before coming to my table. The pulled pork fit the bill just fine while the grilled green beans had a prefect snap to them… guess they focused on locating green beans over all other veggies! Will I return…. of course! I will just be skipping the Salad unfortunately. Guess I’ll try the coke slaw as my next veggie!

This place is awesome!!! The wait staff is so nice!! My favorite thing to order is the grilled cheese stuffed with BBQ pulled pork and I dunk it in ranch dressing…So delicious!!! Pretty reasonably priced too 🙂
