Stopped for some takeout at “Smoked in Soul BBQ,” serving authentic southern style barbecue & chicken . We got a nice selection consisting of fried chicken, brisket, pulled pork, and some delicious sides. Their barbecue is wood smoked and packed with flavor. The chicken was crispy, the mac & cheese and loaded mashed potatoes were especially good.

Was pretty excited to try this bbq, but almost right away was let down. $13 for a pulled pork “sandwich”. Fine. (Good bbq would be worth it). Got home and opened container and their “sandwich” had 1 piece of bread and 3 forks worth of meat and very little bbq sauce. We spent $54 on 2 half sandwiches and 4 very small sides. Don’t waste your time.

I guess this is a new place. Was delivered with no napkins or utensils. The ribs tips had no sauce. The food tasted better than it looked. Peach cobbler was just ok.

I’m not sure if this is “Charlie Mae’s” or what, but if it this explains the quality of the food.
I ordered thru doordash. The rib tips or TOUGH with very medium smoky flavor. The sauce came on the side, which I was okay. I dont know if the liquid that was with the ribs was put there to make the ribs not look dry or if it was the juice from the greens. The mac and cheese was “decently bland.” I HATE when people make food just to be making it and it’s not made with love, it shows in the food. Spicy greens must be an Arizona thing. I have never had spicy greens until I moved here. This should be noted so people won’t be surprised. I don’t know how the greens tasted because of the spiciness. The potatoes salad was store bought. This was not worth the money that was spent. Will I go back? Absolutely NOT!

Too damn expensive first of all and then they want to give you the smallest portions ever. Will never go back to this place.

Confusing, I drove by and saw the vinyl wrap on the windows showing barbecue. Found a parking spot. I walked inside no one at The counter. Self order kiosk to my right, looks like I’ll place my order this way. Oddly enough, I see catfish, pasta, burgers and Three options of barbecue. And they were all huge portions to feed like three people and they wanted 40 $50 for them. Whatever happened to just a sandwich. So odd, so unappealing.

The greens. That’s the only thing I would recommend and that’s a side! The mac & cheese has no flavor, the burnt ends aren’t burnt, and toddler portions are NOT worth the price you overpay to make up their profit.
