We’re from Texas and have struggled to find good BBQ in Ruidoso. We stopped by Smoked By Day BBQ after hearing great things from a couple of co-workers. Wow!! They did not disappoint. The Texas Twinkies…my favorite. Amazing. The brisket sandwich was so good. My husband got the three meat plate and gave it a 4.5 stars rating (I’m a solid 5). Price is the same as any BBQ place. Meats not cheap. It’s worth every penny. **NOTE! IT IS CASH ONLY…AND LEAVE A GOOD TIP!

Best barbecue in Ruidoso. The brisket and ribs were delicious, and the baked potato with brisket was amazing. The sides were also great. Huge portions and very reasonable prices. It’s a great food truck set up in front of a building and worth a visit if you’re in Ruidoso.

Travelled for a day trip to Ruidoso and tried this spot. I have to say the best bbq I have had and I’m from Texas. Everything was delicious from their brisket sandwiches to their ribs and Mac and cheese. Will definitely try again if I am up there

The food was outstanding, had the Brisket sandwich with Mac n cheese, good flavor and plenty of it, I would give out the full Five stars but they have their German shepherd tied out by the smoker and it looks it has a very short leed, that just bugs the crap out of me, I get it it’s probably used to protect the smoker but some suitable living quarters would be good for it, poor thing was whining and just wanted someone to pay attention to him

The ribs are some of the best I’ve ever had. The rub is awesome, no BBQ sauce needed. Not a big brisket fan but it was delicious. Macaroni was good. Only miss was the slaw, just boring, very little flavor. Overall, this place is a definite must try.
