I stopped here only because of the location and the Google map reviews. The first good point was the massive smoker in the parking lot. Inside is really two places in one. The bbq place and a sandwich shop. I ordered a full slab of pork ribs to go, and the two hotdog combo plate with fries. The ribs are outstanding and are worth the drive in and the $24.00 price. They were meaty and moist, the sause has a good flavor that does not overpower or hide the smokey pork taste which is wonderful. I will order them again. The hot dogs were horrible, no fries (rolls in the fry container) I only got the hot dog because I was driving. I ended up wearing the heavy layer of ketchup and mustard on my clothes. The hotdogs were hard and the bun tasted a little stale. Bring cash. They will charge a fee to use a card.

I give them a solid A. Would a been an A+ but they put something that I thought tasted like Cinnamon in the Baked Beans. My mom said she didnt think it was Cinnamon but I didnt care for them anyway. Ribs were amazing and the Brisket is so tender, Mac-N-Cheese was mighty tasty too. Havent tried the Pulled Pork yet, no room for it yet. Service itself was an A+, super friendly.

I’ve been and Akron a year now and couldn’t find good ribs till I went here. All I will say is: Melt in your mouth, perfectly seasoned, finger licking sauce, full belly ribs!!!! I thought I was back home in St. Louis, Mo while eating them. My picky kids literally kept begging for me to go get more. When we want ribs I will only go to Smoke-n-Joe’s for now on.

Great smoked ribs. I had potatoe salad and baked beans that were fantastic! You must try the fried green tomatos, the best I have ever had! The company was delightful and Bobbie is an accomplished chef. I will be a regular at this place! Spread the word!

If you want authentic soulfood Smokin’ Joe’s is THE spot! Ribs just fall off the bone, the Catfish is always perfect and the banana pudding is like crack. Seriously, this is the kind of food I grew up on and each visit reminds me my fondest childhood memories. I can’t wait for my next visit. YOU GUYS NEED TO START OFFERING DELIVERY SERVICE!

If you are looking for a legitimate old school fall off the bone bbq then look no further! Best ribs and collard greens that I have been able to find in ohio. 10/10 I’ll be throwing out my smoker because this puts my craft to shame.

Haven’t been back since they open. Always seems like they’re either closed or out of business. Food was good when I first tried it. Maybe if they showed some type of life or promotion they’ll get more business.
