Kenny and the entire Smoke team were an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. Communication was seamless—they always responded quickly to emails and were happy to answer any questions we had along the way.
The tasting experience was so much fun, and they were incredibly generous with the portions, allowing us to sample a wide variety of options and confidently choose the perfect menu for our wedding.
On our wedding day, the food was absolutely delicious and exactly what we had hoped for. Dinner service was efficient and well-organized.
If you’re searching for catering for your wedding or any special event, we can’t recommend Smoke enough. We loved working with their team and still stop by the restaurant whenever we’re craving our wedding meal all over again!

The food and service was fantastic again today! The Big Lonsdale sandwich was stacked with shaved prime rib, cheese and a BBQ sauce that complimented it perfectly. Served with au jus and a side (great seasoned fries). My wife had the Crispy Chicken Melt with tots and loved it too. We shared an order of the hush puppies, which were seasoned just right and fried to a crispy golden brown. The portions were very generous and we took about half of our food home. We’ll definitely be back again!

Smoke is hands down some of the best BBQ around. The food was incredible, the portions were generous, and the prices were great for the quality.
Our server Haley was amazing. She was so kind, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Service like that really makes a place stand out.
This place is truly a hidden gem and absolutely worth the drive. 10/10 all around and we’ll definitely be back.

First time at Smoke in Lonsdale. I had the Umami Burger with pickles, pastrami, and fries. Delicious, but I should have asked for extra pickles to cut the saltiness.
My wife got the Carolina Style pulled pork sandwich with chips which was AMAZING.
The fries and chips were also great.
Kenny provided AWESOME service!

Cake
We were in the area and decided to try Smoke. First off it was so cold in the building. They had 2 space heaters on the floor in the eating area that were not running. We ordered a 3 meat entree, baked beans and fries. The shredded pork was good & plentiful, 3 pieces of brisket were tender but did not appear to be a half pound of meat and 1/3 rack of ribs were tough. The beans were over cooked and mushy. The fries were hot & good. Our server, Amy convinced me into trying the cheesecake, stated it was made by a local resident. We took half the food home including the cheesecake. Not realizing we were charged $12 for a slice of cheesecake until after we left, I called Smoke the next day questioning the price. Their website showed a price of $9 (still over priced) but the employee on the phone stated the price had changed. The food is overpriced for what we received.

For a table of 5, we only got one set of menus, which I’m not a fan of (hate scanning a QR code to look at a menu)
The waiter was nice and for as busy as it was, the food came out in a good amount of time and was hot.

I’m editing my review to 4 stars right now, as the owner has reached out with an apology, and I understand that mistakes happen. My first visit to smoke was 5-star. I’m going to go back, and give it another try. If my next visit is like my first visit, I’m going to chalk this one bad experience up to a fluke, and edit my review to 5-star.
This was my second time here. My first experience was great! It was so good the first time, that I brought my wife for our anniversary, and its a one hour drive from home. I ordered a beer. Quite a bit of time passed by, and the waitress informed me that the keg was out, and that they were not sure how to change it, but were working on it. We ordered a burnt end appetizer that came out hot and delicious, but we were not given any silverware, and nobody seemed to notice, so my wife had to get up and go ask for silverware. When our food arrived, my pastrami sandwich was also hot and delicious. My wife ordered one of the burger specials with a side of soup. It looked great, but was cold. So we pushed it to the end of the table thinking that someone might notice that there is an issue. Nobody noticed, not even the other waitress that walked passed us multiple times. We were planning on saying something, and trying to resolve it right there, but nobody came. While we were waiting, we noticed another table sending food back because it was cold. We even put our coats on, trying to make it obvious that we were ready to leave. Nobody noticed. We got sick of waiting, and left what was an approximate guess of what the appetizer, and my meal cost. My wife did not eat her food, so we did not pay for that. I would have loved to resolve this while we were there, but staff was too occupied and didn’t ever come back to our table after dropping off our food. I never did get that beer.

I had never been there- but I wanted to stop for a couple years after hearing good reviews. We were frozen/blown off a local lake while ice fishing with my 14 yo son. So we upped the day vibe (from ice cold pbjs and no fish fry at home) to a lunch stop. He had a burger special (Umami?!), I had the prime sammich dip/ ‘BIG Lonsdale’ I think. I’m a french dip hound and he is a burger nut. We both looked at each other after one bite and said ‘this is THE BEST we’ve ever had’. My best dip ever for sure, his best only behind my burgers at home on his b day haha. He had great fries and I had to have him help me on my mountain of tots. Great prices as well.

Stopped in at lunch on a Friday. I arrived at 11:30 am, which is 1/2 hour after they opened. I usually order ribs to determine how good their BBQ is. The issue is that ribs are only available after 4 pm. Kenny said he could put some in for me, but it would be 45 minutes. As that was not going to work for my schedules. This was my first time in. I have wanted to try this for some time. The inability to try Smoke is all my availability. I asked about the brisket and pulled pork, and then Kenny told me the Pastrami Sandwich was his favorite and recommendation. I took his recommendation. The sandwich itself was fantastic. Came out very hot and had plenty of cheese on the sandwich. Highly recommended, and I would order it again. The side, however, were french fries that left me wanting an alternative. They were pre-packaged fries from a supplier. I would recommend making them fresh as the food itself is fresh. Overall, I will return. Kenny’s service was fantastic service that you don’t always get anymore in a service industry.
