First time eating here. We did meet some family here for dinner. Restaurant is a little outdated and needs some renovations on the tables and booths. Food, drinks, and service was great!!!!!! We got the steak and fish all had great flavor and was very hot. The drinks we got were amazing, great bartenders! Totally recommend coming here for dinner!

Visited Smitty’s around dinner hour Smitty’s wasn’t to crowded. I ended up having the two piece grouper dinner. The two sides green beans and mashed potatoes. The grouper was blackened and the taste was great. The service was welcoming and had a great waitress. And yes the food portions were some take home. I’ll be back soon.!!!

Found this gem online while looking for a new Thanksgiving tradition after losing both of my parents this year. The Thanksgiving Buffet was soo good, had many choices, and was perfectly executed. Then, I felt the love of my parents was with us when it was put on a stranger’s heart to pick up our bill. Such kindness from strangers brought me to tears, and the owner Rachel, is a beautiful soul! The whole experience made a huge difference for our “new normal” holiday. I will pay it forward, and also spread the love for this amazing restaurant!

Went for their Thanksgiving buffet and overall had a really good experience. It was $35 a person, which felt fair considering the amount of food available. They had plenty to choose from; delicious chili, ham and bean soup, salad, and all the classic Thanksgiving staples like turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green bean casserole, and much more.
Everything tasted solid and there was never a shortage of anything, which I appreciated. The staff were really friendly and attentive, constantly checking in and keeping the buffet well stocked. A family operation with a wholesome vibe perfect for Thanksgiving.

We started with the homemade chips and dip, which were good!
I don’t know who is making the cheesecake but I was shocked at how good it was. I got it topped with caramel and it was a big treat. It’s very dense and creamy with a light graham cracker crust.
I really liked my Ribeye! My family slammed the Fried Fish dinner and the Fettucine Alfredo, both of which were great.

Out doing fall things today and came upon this gem. Elijah was fantastic at serving! The appetizer, salad, and entree all came out appropriately spaced. We ordered rib eyes and they were cooked and seasoned to perfection! The vegetables in my salad were fresh and crispy and (I am a self-proclaimed ranch connoisseur) the ranch salad dressing seemed homemade and flavorful and creamy. We live in Stow/Kent and will gladly make the drive here again.

When you go somewhere 5 times in a month and have had a great experience every time, it’s time to write a review. This place is a hidden gem. The service is fast and friendly, the portions are generous, and the food is excellent. It seems like no matter when you visit, they’re bringing sizzling, steaming steaks out to other tables, and you won’t regret ordering one of your own.
The one thing I would take note of is that because they haven’t gotten their liquor license yet, the “ale” in their name is sadly missing. I can’t wait to see what they put on tap when it comes.

All of their tables were full but they sat us at the bar so we could eat. My wife got a “fruit punch” drink and it was excellent but definitely sweet. The sour kraut balls were super good, home made with real kraut and corned beef inside them not some frozen bagged ones. Wife got a $7 burger and fries which is incredibly cheap and was delicious. I got strip steak with onion rings and Mac&cheese for $22. Onion rings were the best I’ve had in years, steak was cooked perfectly and came out on a cast iron skillet and the Mac and cheese was good. Overall we were super happy with our visit.

I really wanted to love this place since it’s local hometown folks. The salad, cheese sticks and steak were great. The fries were overcooked and cold, I couldn’t even pick them up with my fork, they just shattered when I tried stabbing them. My wife’s baked potato sat in the foil way to long after it was cooked and was like glue. We had to remind the waitress about our appetizer which she brought just before our steaks finally came out. They weren’t even that busy but we waited 45 minutes. I gotta say I went there for the steak and it was cooked perfectly, could have used a bit of salt, but it was delicious. I might go again. I’m in the fence about it.

Just finished my leftovers from my Sunday visit, and felt compelled to share how delicious the food here was. I got the regular New York strip, Salad, and onion rings. Salad was nice, real stunner was the white French dressing though, insanely good. Will be back!
